About this property

If you are looking for a lovely comfortable place in a country setting on a large piece of land with a lovely view, this space could be for you. There is a private gated entry.

Our large studio apartment with its living/bedroom space, separate kitchen and full bathroom has a double burner hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, large refrigerator, pots and pans, kitchen utensils and coffee and teapot.

We are in the country and the water system is on a well. It is fine for showering or brushing your teeth but not for drinking. There is a filter on the faucet in the kitchen and a pitcher for you to refrigerate cold water if you need it. Please do not drink the tap water.

This furnished studio includes all linens, blankets, towels and necessary general needs for overnight stays.

Majestic oak trees are scattered around the property creating beauty and shade.
The indoor space is filled with windows and views of the beauty of north central Florida! There are two balconies overlooking the grandeur of the land here.

Note: You need to be able to walk up one flight of stairs in order to enter the apartment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: There is a large rental house with beautiful pool overlooking the lake with washer and dryer that is a separate rental on the property. WHEN IT IS UNOCCUPIED, you will have full use of the pool and washer and dryer. When there are guests in the big house, you would not.

Grad weekend

Jeffrey and his wife was amazing from the time i started inquiring. We had a short power outage due to a storm and they made sure we had what we needed. Its a beautiful and peaceful property.

Great little “cabin” in the woods

Very clean and my partner and I enjoyed our stay. We saw deer and other wildlife on the property which was neat! The water is ground water, so it was “hard” and did smell a bit. But other than that, it was a great stay.

Wonderful countryside retreat

The venue is off the grid, rural, yet only a few minutes to nearby amenities. Live oaks draped in Spanish Moss encompass the property and the only audible sounds are that of breezes, birds and insects. There's no light pollution, and one can see all of the stars on a clear night. The cottage is extremely cozy, and the bed is quite comfortable, and the view from the porch is quite breathtaking, especially in the early morning when the field is covered in dew and fog. Downtown Micanopy is less than a mile away with its quaint antique shops and restaurants, and Gainesville proper is no more that 20 minutes from here. There are wonderful state parks encompassing the area. There's so much to do here, or one can choose to just enjoy the untainted countryside. Needless to say, we had a wonderful experience here.

We are a couple who have lived on this property for over 30 years. It is a sanctuary to be sure with beautiful views from any vantage ;point. It is semi-secluded (we live about five acres away on the land) and there may be people in the big rental house also on the property.

It's one of the most beautiful properties in Alachua County Florida. With so much wildlife, views, shade, sun, walking spaces, if you love nature, you will love this land.
