Acadia National Park is just minutes away from this ocean front cottage. Visit there for hiking, biking and driving the park loop road then return to the quiet peacefulness of Western Bay. There is a great beach for swimming, kayaking or just searching for shells, sea glass or watching the seals swim in the bay.
Groceries are 15 min away in Ellsworth. Shopping is 20 min. away in Bar Harbor and Schoodic Point is an hour up the coast if you want to explore more coast line.

Perfect location with quick access to everything

Second time staying at this location and it did not disappoint. Clean, bright, modern and welcoming. Great place to stay with a pet who enjoys exploring the beach.

Great place for families!

Our family had an amazing time here. The cottage is spacious and clean, and the views of the bay are incredible (and we saw a few seals swimming by). Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the property was fantastic. Unbelievable panoramic view of Mt Desert from inside the home as well as the properties beach. Home had all of the amenities we needed and everything was modern and clean. Great sense of privacy. Enjoyed meeting the property owners who lived near by but never infringed on our privacy. Very accommodating and confirmed we could have a little fire on the beach as long as we let the tide come on and put it out which we did. Would definitely plan to come back and stay again. Thanks Bob and Emily (and Henry)!

We enjoyed a wonderful week of relaxing on the deck overlooking the bay and Cadillac Mountain, kayakingwith porpoises and seals nearby, and taking in the surrounding areas of Mt. Desert Island, Blue Hill, and downtown Ellsworth. The cottage is modern, clean and comfortable affording quiet privacy. Emily is a warm and welcoming host. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful place and location!

The cottage was in a private area yet easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor! The cleanliness was very much appreciated! The beach just steps from the back door allowed kids to go and walk along the beach. Lovely place inside and out!

Great Stay

Beautiful, peaceful location near Acadia!

Very nice, clean, neat with spectacular setting on the water with a view. So quiet and calm shile convient to Bat Harbor and Acadia. Highly recommend!

Cute little cottage for family of 4!

We stayed for 2 nights while going to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. My children loved the loft and it had everything we needed for our stay. The view is beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful weekend getaway

This coastal cottage was beautiful and relaxing. The area was quiet, pleasant and peaceful. Very close to Acadia National Park, which we visited along with Cadillac Mountain. Very much recommend this place for your getaway. You won’t regret the views nor the beautiful cottage.

Beautiful property

The home was well maintained and it is a beautiful beachside property. My dog loved it. The neighbors were very friendly as well. We even saw a seal swimming in the distance. It was fantastic!

Clean house with amazing bay views

Our family had a great time at the house. The views were incredible. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, playing in the lawn, and walking on the shore. There was plenty of space for the entire family. We would love to go back.

Cozy cottage…Stunning views!

Easily among the top vacation rentals in which we have stayed. The view is amazing! The cottage was the perfect mix of quaint and modern, and was the ideal size for our party of 5. Acadia was easily accessible from the property while also providing enough distance from the crowds. Excellent restaurants close by. Owners were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. Definitely want to stay here again!

Perfection near Acadia

If you are visiting Acadia and the area look no further and book Emily’s place. The location on the water is beautiful and Emily was the perfect host. The cottage is super clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Conveniently located 20 minutes from Acadia nat’l park. My wife and I highly recommend this rental. Thank you Emily!!

Beauty away from the maddening crowd

Lovely accommodation. Easy access. Cozy. Ever so clean. Best feature of this cottage is its proximity to Acadia National Park but yet well away from the crowds one encounters in the park. We were so grateful to return here at the end of each day to share the quiet and serenity. Wonderful access to the water for swimming. Should we ever return to the area, we would hurriedly request this same cottage for our stay.

Heaven on Earth

Everything about this cottage is perfect! To start with, the location on the coast is nothing short of amazing. Low tide reveals rocky "islands" that can be explored, while high tide brings the water softly lapping against the shoreline. The cottage itself is comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed - along with a large lobster pot and claw crackers for the requisite Maine lobster, steamer, and corn on the cob dinner. Finally, the owners, Emily and Bob, were were very welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to return!

We travel a lot and this was one of the best locations we ever stayed at! The view is just amazing - theres's direct access to the beach from the backyard for strolls and swimming. During our stay we saw bald eagles and seals on the beach right in front of the backyard - unbelievable! The cottage has been constantly updated so reality is much better than the pictures! It's full of light at any time of the day due to the large windows and open architecture which gives you the full view on the water from inside also. The kitchen and furniture are new and the beds are very comfortable. Emily and Bob are incredible hosts who do everything to make you feel welcome and to enjoy your stay. The drive to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor is easy and takes about 20 mins.

Memorial Stay

We stayed here on a trip to spread my husband’s ashes at Cadillac Mt Summit. The cottage has a view of the mountain, which was perfect. In general, the view is spectacular. We enjoyed the different landscapes with the rising and falling of the tides. We agreed this was probably one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. I appreciated the minimalism. The location was perfect for both Acadia and Bar Harbor. The mattresses were firmer than we’re all accustomed to at home. I’d consider getting mattress toppers to add a layer of comfort, but the cottage slept 4 adults comfortably. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with throughout the process. We loved that there was no TV but the internet service was a little spotty at times. Still, it was a good excuse to disconnect from the outside world and simply enjoy each others company. I would recommend this cottage to friends and hope to bring my children one day when they’re a little older.
