Bear Lodge was an amazing and very cozy place to stay. We spent New Year’s there, and it was snowy and absolutely wonderful. Thank you, Matt, for checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. You’re a great host!

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The bear motif was cute! The owner was very good about communication and making sure everything was on hand
We have stayed in the area on multiple occasions and found Matt’s cottage spotless, furnished beautifully and very welcoming. I hope to stay there again on future visits.
We had a great stay. The cabin was excellent, exactly as advertised with a perfect amount of space for a quick getaway. Clean and comfortable, it was a great base to explore the area over a long holiday weekend. Matt was available and happy to answer any questions. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
Our stay was great! It was located in a small quiet neighborhood that was close to many small towns. The accessible bathrooms/walkin showers were perfect for my elderly mother. Matt was kind enough to check in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
This beautifully cared-for cabin was a true oasis of calm. Perfect for a family get-away-- thoughtfully appointed and updated, with new bathrooms, comfy beds, and high-end furniture-- and very stylish too!
It was a fantastic little house. Perfect for 4. It was clean, homey, and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The owner made us feel welcome and the entire process easy.
Checking was smooth , it really is a nice cabin, very clean, comfortable and cozy. Matt was constantly checking on us and communication was very good. We really enjoyed our stay . Definitely a 5 stars host and cabin .
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our family does a yearly family vacation and when we are somewhere we take day trips to surrounding areas. We were able to let my step daughter see her grandparents on her mom’s side who she hadn’t seen in years. We also took a train into the city. It was nice to be able to come back to the quiet of this little place to relax and get ready for the next day. If we return to New York we definitely will look at staying here again.
I rented this house for a weekend getaway for a wedding in the area. Everything we could possibly need was supplied by the hosts. Plenty of nearby shops to stock the kitchen with anything you could think of for your stay. Would highly recommend booking this place. Hope to stay there again sometime.
Absolutely peaceful getaway from the city
What a great property. This location is perfect, and the host (Matt) responds quickly to any questions. As the title states, the house is spotless, and on a quiet street (dead end, with no thru traffic). Everything is exactly as pictured in the listing.
My kids are I had a great time at the Bear Lodge! The property was as described, and the check-in process was simple and smooth. My kids loved all the bear decor throughout the house. The beds were comfortable, and aside from a few crumbs in the kitchen, everything was very clean and tidy. I really appreciate how everything was labeled in the kitchen, so it was very easy to find whatever we needed. Although our stay was very short, we really enjoyed our time, and we’d love to visit again!
