Lovely stay at Ocean Grove

Everything was perfect. Ocean Grove is in a great location and very quiet and peaceful. Check in was easy. The host communicated all the info we needed up front, and we never needed to follow up for anything. We would gladly stay here again.

Lovely second stay

We had such a nice time last summer, that we decided to make a return visit this year. Everything was perfect both times. The building (Ocean Grove) is nice in general, and this specific unit is particularly good. This time around, in addition to my college kid and my high schooler, we had another young person and there was still plenty of space even with five people. The straight-on ocean view is important to us, and this building has it. Diamond Beach down the street also has nice units and great views, but a little less friendly toward short-term renters, and noticeably more expensive (not worth it in my opinion). Communication with the host was friendly and flawless. Also, the unit has both types of coffee makers. When the time comes to book a Galveston trip for 2025, I'll probably just see if this until is available, and hopefully reserve it again.

Harris family visit to Ocean groove

The owner was available for communication. But upon arrival, a loud alarm sounded in the unit. Which turned out to be a smoke detector in one of the guest rooms. After the alarm went off, the alarm being to chirp our entire stay. In the same room, the television didn't work, and I called to report this, but basically, we ended up with a refund of ten percent. I dont think ten percent was fair. After this stay, it should have been fifty percent. There were roaches crawling out of the sink and even dead roaches behind the couch.Also, there were chip bags behind on of the night stands in the master bedroom. The lamp didn't work in the other beroom. It would have been nice to have laundry detergent, too.There was large amounts of dust in the unit. Some of the furniture and walls were damaged, and therefore, I wouldn't say this unit is high end.The location and view were great. This place needs a deep cleaning, and some maintenance done. If this is supposed to be a high-end condo, it needs to be maintained as a high-end condo.Thank you, and may God bless you!

Adrian, the condo is always booked due to the location and value for the money. Also, over the last 4 years our review scores have been wonderful! I'm sorry you experienced what you described. The guests that left before your arrival had none of these issues. We offered to have maintenance come by to adjust the settings on the TV and see about the smoke alarm but you declined. I am also there on a regular basis to make sure my housekeeping staff is doing a good job. Thanks
