Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
On sundays please take the two garbage bins under the stairs to the end of the driveway so the city can empty them Monday morning. Many thanks
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Park in the driveway or on the OCEAN side of the road in front. No Parking on the house side of the road , behind the property or on grass areas.
No Fire pits are allowed underneath the building or on patio deck. we do provide several bbq's to use Please RINSE OFF ALL BEACH GEAR Chairs, Umbrelas
SUNDAY - Please take garbage bins to Street before checkout or anytime sunday if staying. MONDAY bring bins under stairs-city empties them (noon ish)

January beach getaway

Really enjoyed our stay at the property! Location was much closer to the Strand and Galveston then we have stayed in the past. Beach was clean and house was cozy and comfortable.

Spring Break

House was very clean. Weather was starting to wear on areas of the outside, but the inside was cozy for 8 of us. Can’t beat the location. Amazing gulf view, and if the weather would have cooperated, perfect getaway.

Good: House is across the gravel road from the public beach access and seemed in relatively good condition. AC works well.Bad: bunk room, middle bedroom and both bathrooms were infested with hundreds of fire ants. Complained to the owner after multiple ant bites on adults and children. In lieu of offering an actual solution, owner suggested rubbing honey or using a warm spoon on ant bites and said we should try harder not the track them in from outside... Also good I guess: the couch is ok to sleep on if the bedrooms become unusable for any reason.

Excellent views with a kind and responsive host

Annual family trip. House was very clean and the location was awesome! Great for quick trips to the grocery store or in town for some fun activities. Only suggestion is to replace the sofas, as they seemed very worn out. Would stay again for sure!

Beautiful view

Was a really nice beach area. Nothing in front to obstruct. Had trouble with wifi and tv but we survived. Host was easy to get a hold of. Great vacation and lots of fun.

Perfect House!

We had the best time staying here. The house has a beautiful living room and a nice big porch with plenty of seating looking right at the ocean. The house is on the beach you can't get any closer. Everything was clean, plenty of towels for showers. You will need to bring your own beach towels but that was not a problem. From the house it ia about a 10 minute drive to the seawall where we ate at Giados one night (it been around since 1935) and Katie's am ocean to table restaurant with great fish! We will definitely book here again.

Great Visit

Perfect location and a comfortable home. Loved the deck overlooking the gulf. A few items in the home need some attention. 1) Shower door doesn't close properly. 2) Ceiling fan in the second bedroom doesn't wok (may just be remote batteries) 3) TV in master bedroom doesn't work.

Family vacation.

The stay and location were great. The only small issue we had, which might have been a misunderstanding, was there was no charcoal for the grill. The listing stated charcoal and grill. There were only wood chips in the grill. No big deal. Everything else was great.

Great Beachfront Home

We've rented quite a few houses over the years, and this may be our favorite. The house was spotless and had very comfortable beds. The kitchen was stocked with a good deal of dishes and pots and pans and there was more than the usual amount of staple foods in the cabinets with coffee and wine as a bonus. The house was closer to town which was nice and made driving into Galveston feel like nothing. Of course the view was spectacular. There is a small road in front of the houses but there was very minimal traffic even though you were allowed to park on the far side of it. We would be excited to go back any time.

Beachy Thanksgiving

We were thoroughly pleased with the scenic beachfront location. We were also pleasantly surprised how well furnished the house was from toiletry, cleaning, and bathing. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies including cooking staple items. We had a couple minor issues but Andrew was extremely responsive and resolved all issues immediately! The only other problem we had was trying to regulate the SMART thermostat...was obviously smarter than we were. Overall, we enjoyed so much, we're considering making this an annual tradition!!!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. The house was clean and location to beach was wonderful. Our daughter in-law had a fall and broke her ankle on our first full day at the beach. The treatment they received at the Urgent Care (on 4th of July) was top notch!! I contacted the owner just to let them know what happened and they responded immediately with contacts we could call should we need any help with the situation. Our vacation carried on without a hitch. The house is equipped with all kinds of family games and every toy a child could want for the beach. Would definitely go back!! THANK YOU!!

Mundy and Andrew live in houston and have 3 wonderful children, Meg , Noah and Madeline. Andrew grew up in South Africa and spent many vacations at the beach fishing, scuba diving and hunting for crabs and shells as a child. He lived in Canada for many years and is so happy to be back near a beach again. Mundy grew up in Brenham texas and lived on a ranch for most of her youth... she loves the outdoors.
After we spent several vacations in Galveston we decided to find a special place we could call home... we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We live in Houston and have been renting houses in galveston for years and decided we wanted to keep coming back on a more regular basis.

It was important for us and our kids (little legs) to have a beach front property to minimise the walk to the beach and back. we wanted a quiet , pedestrian only beach, far enough away from the main tourist areas but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment if we wanted to venture into town.

This small community of homes is perfect for our family and yours and great for kids who want to look for shells, fish, hunt for crabs, build sand castles
The water is shallow and the waves are small and easy for the children to play and swim in.

What makes this property unique

There is something about waking up to the sound of the waves, smelling the ocean air as you sip on your morning coffee relaxing on the covered porch watching the Pelicans fly by .
We love to cook and BBQ and the kitchen provides an ocean view and tends to be the social hub when were inside.
