The placement of the doors and windows keeps the home warm in the winter and allows for perfect cross ventilation for cooling in the summer as well. I'm happy that I was able to give you good tips about the area, I don't like it myself when I go somewhere for vacation and need to search out things to do and places to go. I prefer to be prepared with a plan (and time for spontaneity of course) so I can make the most of my time. I want the same for the guests. There are so many hiking trails in the area, you'll have to try new ones at every visit!

That's wonderful to hear and thank you for your nice review. The driveway is maintained but since it is on a slope and rather long it can be tricky to get up in the winter. I always recommend AWD, FWD or 4x4 anywhere in the Catskills for winter and check tire tread before coming to make sure treads are sufficient for winter driving. Snow tires are good but all weather tires work just fine as long as the treads are good, it's what I use on my Honda Pilot AWD. Thanks again for the stay and I hope to host you in the future!
