About this property

Zen Sanctuary- Jungle Vibes on Mountainside

Beautiful, peaceful, magical, jungle vibes, surrounded by nature, 15 min from the center of Kona, up on the mountainside, lush lot w/ farm fresh eggs and fruit trees! The space has an open floor plan, with high ceilings and 2 outdoor spaces to relax. Luxury hybrid King bed, Weber grill, Smart TV, Starlink Wifi, shared washer and dryer, and a great kitchen with all the amenities. Also: beach towels, chairs, cooler, & umbrella! This Private space is the largest unit of the home. There are two other units, as well as my personal space above the garage. Everyone has their own private entrance and privacy. I live here most of the time and hardly ever run into the other guests.

This is truly a local Hawai’i experience, away from street-noise and the hustle & bustle of town, but only 10 minutes from the shore. A great central location to call home-base while you explore the rest of the island.

I provide Coffee & tea, and for those coffee enthusiasts, there are many plantations close by to tour!

Disclosure: The fireplace is decorative/non-working.
No A/C but it gets cool at night up at 1400ft!

Please see the parking guide in your check-in instructions, and make sure to follow the written directions as well as the photo-guide so you find the place and correct unit! :)

Other things to note:
We are surrounded by nature up here!! That means, we have coqui frogs and crickets that begin their choir practice around sunset and through the night... and sometimes when the sun comes up, the roosters like to announce the day for us! It's all a part of the Hawaii country experience! We hardly notice it and the frog/cricket chorus tends to sing us to sleep... but if you need, we provide ear plugs ;)

Why they chose this property

This little mountain town stole my heart with its cute art galleries, yummy cafe's, lush gardens, farms, coffee plantations and quaint Aloha vibe. Our home is the perfect escape from the heat and hustle of Kona-town, and only 15 minutes away from the shore. It is one of the most desirable areas to live on this side of the island, and we feel very lucky to be here!

What makes this property unique

It's a true local experience, complete with fresh eggs from our hens and fruit from the yard when in season. Many repeat guests have called this their favorite Airbnb and the best sleep they've gotten away from home.
