Renovated basement studio in historic Mapleton Hill.
This is a renovated basement apartment (ceilings are low, 6' 2") in our historic bungalow in the Mapleton Hill neighborhood. A 10 minute walk to downtown pearl st, as well as the Mt Sanitas trailhead puts you in an ideal location to experience some of the best that Boulder has to offer. You have your own private entrance in the back of our house accessed by a brick path, and the apartment is locked off from the upstairs of our house and is totally private, non-lived in space. My wife Sarah and I live upstairs with our cat, Petunia, and are happy to help you with anything you need to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.

This unit was perfect for two people. It is located in a beautiful old neighborhood in Boulder and is a comfortable walk down to Pearl St. it was quiet at night and we felt safe walking around. We would stay here again if it is available when we are in Boulder again.
This is our second time here and again, we were so pleased. The location is perfect, such an easy walk to Pearl St. It has always been clean, warm and inviting and has the amenities we need. We will always look for this place first when finding a place to stay in Boulder!
Duncan was communicative and allowed us to arrive late, plus the location was great, but we were disappointed by the cleanliness. Shower curtain needs to be changed - had a lot of mildew on the bottom; lots of dust and cobwebs; some utensils in the kitchen were dirty; baseboards roughed up. Needs a little love and a good cleaning.
The studio is very nice and well appointed. It is in the basement of the owners house and has its own entrance on the back of the house. Nice kitchenette (sink, fridge, stove, etc.) shower, large and comfortable bed. The only point to note is the ceiling height is probably 6 feet 1 inch. I am under 6 feet so not an issue. Close to Pearl Street. I would stay there again.
My husband and I stayed two nights at this cozy studio. The .5 walk to Pearl Street was great for shopping and eating. The 1 mile to Chataqua Park and several hikes! The bathroom was stocked in case you forgot anything and the kitchen was well appointed if you wished to dine in. Only thing that I note, only as a heads up -pun intended-, is if you are 6ft or taller, the ceilings are low so be prepared to duck. Thanks for having us and we will be back again!
Everything was perfect and exactly as advertised. Super convenient to Pearle Street and to campus. Ideal for CU parents visiting. Would rent again and highly recommend.
Duncan’s place was lovely!!! A fully renovated basement that looks exactly like pictured (besides the adorable kitchen pics missing!!)- it’s perfect for a casual place to stay- walking distance from Pearl Street! Thank you!!
My four night stay went very smoothly, with clear checkin instructions, easy access through its own entry (then down a short flight of stairs), well fitted kitchen and bathroom, and convenient location to Sanitas trails and Pearl Street. Would love to stay there again. Thank you!
