Central location near Catalinas and equidistant to two Saguaro N.P. Units. Good access to I-10 and great access to Downtown and 4th Avenue. Great communication with the owners. Our minor concerns were quickly addressed.
Great Mid Century Modern House in a Quiet Neighborhood
This was my 2nd stay here, also rented in May '23. House is just as described, copper plated on the outside, mid century modern and minimalist on the inside. Comfortable bed, and very comfortable couch where I took several naps. Beautiful, tree covered yard with an outdoor patio set where I ate several meals. This area is lit up with low-voltage outdoor lighting in the evenings, so you can enjoy it after dark. 5 minute walk to the #1 bus, which will get you downtown in approximately 20 to 25 minutes. A couple of bicycles to choose from, one road bike and one mountain bike, which I used every day. Powerful AC system, good water pressure. Room to park 2 cars off the alley in back. Not much to criticize at all! For the sake of objectivity, I will just point out one tiny thing, very small TV set, but hardly an issue, considering I never watched it. When I did contact the property manager via text, I always received a response within 5 minutes. Thinking of relocating to Tucson, would definitely stay here again until I purchase a home of my own.
The casita has plenty of room for two and is well equipped. We stayed three weeks and would have stayed longer had we been able. It's in a great mid-town location where you can be anywhere in Tucson in 30 mins or most of the hiking areas in 30-45 mins. The hosts are responsive and quick to help with any special needs.
We enjoyed our stay in Casa Solariega. The place was very unique and just as pictured. The location was perfect and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place, one of the best private rentals at which I have ever stayed. Right on the bike Boulevard leading to the Tucson Loop Road, close to everything, very private. Would love to stay there again.
This is a cute and clever property in the heart of the city, perfect for the exploration of Tucson. We very much enjoyed it. Several observations: (1) Security is a must; this is not a "sketchy" neighborhood, but it is clear that neighbors invest in security. The locks to enter Casa are not easy to manipulate, especially when it is dark. (2) Several dishes stacked in the cupboard were frankly dirty; we had to rewash many. (3) There were no facial tissues but one roll of TP; we purchased more. (3) A "dryer"? No; a drying rack is provided. (4) For the size of the bathroom, the provided bath mats are inadequate for a three-night stay. However, Casa is a bargain, and it is a "find".
We had a wonderful stay. The higher placed windows offered an opportunity for privacy and viewing of the lighting from the monsoons. We were only a few minutes from the hospitals, which was the reason for a visit and also minutes from the mountains, which we took advantage of as well. It was a wonderful stay. The place was clean and offered every amenity one could ask for. We do suggest putting in a Keurig and a TV that can be raised and lowered from the
Overall a nice stay / clean/ safe/ enjoyed. Recommend to others
Recommend barstools and sofa be replaced as very uncomfortable

Modern, contemporary house
Our stay at the Copper House was great. We liked the sleek, modern styling and the natural light which filtered in through all the windows. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We felt safe and secure in the neighborhood and the location was perfect from which to explore the area. We would definitely stay here again!
What a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here at the Copper house. Very quiet and peaceful. Super comfortable bed, very clean, loved the full kitchen and really enjoyed all of the natural light. We were able to bring our dog and the yard was completely closed in. Highly recommend the Copper House!
Everyone was extremely helpful Sherry is the best. I plan on returning. The place was extremely clean and had all of the amenities. The only thing was the water pressure in the shower was not strong, but that is Tucson I hear.
I needed a place to do a writing project. Copper House is so lovely. A nice desert garden area. Secluded by a fence around the property but still with a view of the mountains inside and out. A nice, clean minimalist, modern looking interior has all you need. Comfortable bed. Kitchen well equipped, and I do like to cook. Comfortable seating area. Tucked down an alley. Restaurants et al nearby. I hope to return and just vegetate!

Very Private and peaceful studio!
Very private and peaceful studio. SUPER comfortable bed. The pictures make it appear in a more pristine condition than in reality; but it's either a really popular rental or someone lives there in the meantime. If you like vintage and modern decor, you will love this place! Not far from anywhere to get around in Tucson via car. There are a couple things I wish were repaired prior to our visit - motion and yard lights were not working and the few missing vertical blinds.
This is our 5th year venturing to the southwest to escape the midwest winter weather. We are cyclists and that is our main activity while in Tucson. A quiet trip down Treat Street and you are on Tucson's infamous "Loop." The Copper House met our needs very well. It was safe and secure and private. As a studio, it had almost everything we needed or wanted. As cyclists, we generate a lot of laundry, so the only downside was we did a fair amount of hand washing of clothes and used the provided drying rack to dry our cycling clothes. A Laundromat is a few blocks away to do the major clothes washing jobs. We would recommend and would definitely consider stay here again.

Definitely Overrated
We were hugely disappointed with our stay at the Copper House. The description portrays better accommodations than we experienced. We didn't realize that we were going to have to access the property from an alleyway in a marginal area of Tucson until we received the welcome email and instructions from the owner AFTER we booked our stay. Once we arrived and came through the locked gate we realized that this property sits in the backyard of the home that actually has a street address on Copper. But we thought, well we can just stay here for 2 nights. The first night we arrived back at the property at 8:30pm. The solar lights that are supposed to light the parking area did not work. We thought, we will just put our heads down and go to sleep. We were awakened at 1:00am to our car alarm going off. We both shot straight out of bed and immediately felt a threat. We could definitely turn the car alarm off with the key fob, but did not feel safe going out to investigate. We though someone might have set the car alarm off so that we would come out of the gate. You can then imagine what was going through our minds. We even thought if we had to call 911, how would they find us in this alleyway. I immediately contacted the owner through HomeAway and explained our concern. I told Michael we would not be staying a second night and would find a different place the stay for our second night in Tucson. His message back to me said, "Very sorry to hear of your sleepless night and car alarm nightmare. I will happily refund your two nights payment. I can have Dixie stop by if you like if you are still there. Please give me a ring." I called him back and he again stated we would receive a full refund. We left that morning. We then received this message the next day, "I have authorized VRBO to credit your account $137.00. This is the maximum that the system would allow. I regret that you had a sleepless night but car alarms do go off without explanation at times." He completely dismissed the threat/concern we felt. Safety should be an owner's top priority, but not in this case. Michael said one thing and did another. I'm sure there is a way to contact Homeaway to make arrangements for a full refund. He chose not to. I sent a follow up message stating our disappointment, but we haven't heard from the owner again. It has now been a week. I would definitely ask the owner for an address before booking so you can do research to ensure you feel safe in this area. We didn't.
