A comfortable two-bedroom condo in the Carnelian Woods community — walking distance to Lake Tahoe and an easy drive to both Palisades Tahoe and Northstar. Great setup for families or a small group.

Full kitchen stocked for real cooking — not just the basics. In-unit washer and dryer, beach towels, multiple Smart TVs, and fast WiFi throughout. The complex is quiet and family-friendly, with the pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and arcade lodge all steps away.

About the loft: The main loft is a great hangout space and works perfectly as a sleeping area with the rollaway. The upstairs bedroom has a second loft space — the ladder has been removed and we ask that guests not attempt to access it. We really mean this one. It's not safe without the ladder and any wall damage will be charged to the booking.

A few things to know: Small water heater — if you're a group, space out your showers. No AC (Tahoe summers rarely need it). The closest beach to Carnelian Woods is a pebble beach — not sandy, but genuinely lovely. BYO rackets for the tennis courts.
Winter heads up: Tahoe weather moves fast — 4WD/AWD or chains are often required during storms. Please plan accordingly.

The condo its self was ok. The carpets were very stained in all rooms, I get it is dog friendly, but some dogs as ours are very clean. The bed down stairs was hard as sleeping on the ground and the shade in that room could not be closed all the way and let in the outside lights in. The walk to the beach is “walkable” but it is about a mile and back is up hill. From the pictures it is deceiving looking like it is one of the closer condos not the farthest up the hill. We stay in Carnelian Bay once a year during summer and have stayed in these condos, closer to the beach. Yes there is a “coffee bar” no bbq nor any spices or anything to really cook with. For the price I would find some where else.

The carpets were professionally cleaned just three weeks before your arrival, although we understand that some older stains may still remain visible. Mattress comfort is very subjective, but we appreciate your comments and will also inspect the downstairs shade to ensure it closes properly. The condo’s location is accurately shown on the listing map, and we do not advertise it as being directly next to the beach. The walk is approximately one mile, and—as is typical in this area—the return trip is uphill. We also do not advertise a BBQ or a fully stocked spice collection. Basic salt and pepper are normally provided, with guests sometimes replacing them if they use the last of an item. We apologize if there was not enough available during your two-night stay. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Why they chose this property

Carnelian Bay is the north shore at its best — quieter than Tahoe City, less crowded than Kings Beach, but close to everything. The Carnelian Woods community sits right at the edge of the lake, which means guests can walk to the water without getting in a car. In summer it's the kind of neighborhood where people bike to dinner and watch the sunset from the shore. In winter you're 15 minutes from Northstar and 23 from Palisades, with far less traffic than the south shore routes.

What makes this property unique
