About this property
Cozy Cabin w/ Wood-Burning Stove & a Million-Dollar View! No 4W Drive Needed!
**Our home was not damaged and has water and power! Franklin, Dillsboro, and Sylva are all open for business and would welcome you coming to the area!** Imagine sipping your morning coffee, elevated 3,400 feet at the top of Gold Mountain, on the large deck, overlooking the best view in Macon County. A million dollar view may be an understatement - a 10 Million dollar view may be more appropriate! Find rest and rejuvenation at this beautifully furnished cabin on a quiet mountain with a gas fire pit, 8-person hot tub, and panoramic mountain views from a welcoming porch and downstairs patio. Even your fur babies* are welcome! If it sounds like heaven, it is.
This home** is incredibly comfortable and offers multiple places to hang out, relax, and sleep. On the main level you will walk in to a spacious, open-concept kitchen and living area. From the moment you step in to the property you can't help but catch the long-range views through the floor to ceiling, wall to wall glass doors. Also on the main level you will find 2 large bedrooms with queen beds, a pop-up, roll-a-way cot you could use for an extra guest, and a full bath with stand-up shower. Walking outside there is a 180 degree deck complete with a grill, gas firepit table, and a screened in space - perfect for a cup of coffee or glass of wine while you watch the sunrise AND sunset.
Head downstairs for a whole other level of fun and comfort. At the bottom of the stairs you will walk into the den/ dining/ game room. Complete with a queen-size pull out sofa and a dining room table that seats 6, it's the perfect place to pop a bag of popcorn, put on a movie, and play board games. The final space on the bottom level is the massive primary bedroom. It includes a king-size bed and full bath as well as a book nook that doubles as an office. An exterior door leads you to a large concrete patio and solid size yard. A fire pit, dining table, and hot tub complete the space.
The exterior of the property will not let you down! From the upper deck that includes the gas fire pit, grill, and screen porch to the lower patio with hot tub, dining table, and fire pit, you are sure to enjoy the outside as much as the inside. Plus the insane long-range views and quiet surroundings make this the perfect place to relax. The property even has a game shed! Whether you play a competitive game of ping pong or pull the corn hole boards out, you're sure to enjoy your time at traces of heaven.
You can leave the hustle and bustle behind by starting your day with a cup of coffee and a view. Just minutes from Franklin & Dillsboro, you can hop down for a beer at one of the many awesome breweries or grab a plate (or 3) of BBQ at the popular (and utterly mouth-watering) Haywood Smokehouse. Hit the co-op in Franklin for some fresh produce or mosey through the antique shops of Dillsboro or Bryson City.
A slow day not your style? Nantahala National Forest is only 30 minutes away, as is the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and Bryson City. Take a hike on one of the many trails nearby, or kayak down the river. Pop down to the 9-hole Franklin Country Club, or take the 50 minute drive to Highlands for some resort style golf. At night, sip a glass of wine or your favorite beverage by the fire pit, or challenge a friend or spouse to a game of corn hole or ping pong in the game shed. Seriously, the possibilities are endless - just like the view.
One of the best parts? No nervy rides up and down the mountain. Traces is easy to get to with paved roads and plenty of parking for friends and family. No 4 wheel drive necessary and easily found on the GPS of your choice.
Book your stay today as dates fill up quickly, especially in high season!
Notes:
*An additional nightly fee is charged if you are bringing your fur babies.
**The cabin is also an older home and nestled into a mountainside. During humid months or when there is a lot of rain you may notice the home gets a bit musty and bugs find their way inside when the temperature drops. We have the home regularly cleaned, inspected, and treated for pests to help you have the best experience possible. However, if these items are not to your liking, please consider finding another home to book.

Hosted by Sean & Amy

Hello! We're Amy & Sean, the proud owners of Traces of Heaven. When we're not hiking the trails of the Smoky Mountains with our dog Charlie, we're playing golf or enjoying the sandy beaches of Charleston, SC, our primary home. We hope you enjoy your stay, and if there's anything we can do to make your stay more relaxing, don't hesitate to let us know. Enjoy the view!! (We are required by law to disclose that one of the hosts Amy is a licensed real estate agent)
