Withlacoochee Pirate River House ---- PET FRIENDLY

Home located on a deep-water canal, less than two miles to the gulf with no bridges. Inside has beautiful tongue and groove ceilings and walls, simulating the feel of an old wooden ship. Then step outside to enjoy one of Florida's beautiful rivers that leads to the Gulf of Mexico. This two-story home is very spacious. Perfect for entertaining family and guests. Boat house is enormous offering lots of room for most of boats. If you love to fish, boat, kayak or just enjoy the outdoors you will love this home located on a cul de sac. Close to the Withlacoochee Preserve, Withlacoochee River, Homosassa, Crystal River, Gulf of Mexico, Drs., hospitals, shopping, dining and more. Easy access to Crystal River, Ocala, Gainesville, Tampa and Orlando. Disney World ONLY two hours away.
The house is unique and a definite must see. The owners recently purchased the house, and it is slowly being transformed to make it feel like the interior of a ship. The stairs case has handmade balusters made from rope and cleats giving it the appearance of a sailboat.

Upstairs there are two master suites and two queen size rooms. The first master suite has a king size bed and a custom kid’s pirate loft with a twin bed. The room also includes a bunk bed (full over twin). All four rooms upstairs share a bathroom. There is another full bathroom downstairs with a walk-in shower. The downstairs features an oversized sofa with an open floor concept to allow great flow between the kitchen and living room.

Cool nautical house with great hostess

This house is cooler than any we've ever stayed at! The decor is nautical-themed and absolutely adorable! The best part of this house is the hostess--she is kind, thoughtful and attentive! The kitchen has been recently renovated and is beautiful. The backyard is fun and while we didn't use the screen porch with video games, my teenager wants to go back to play them!

The house was great, just as described, we were looking for something quite and not city, was exactly what we needed. Scenery was perfect, friendly neighborhood and close to all the conveniences, eateries, grocery stores, activities. Great Property for Thanksgiving!

Our family rented this home from Mandy who was awesome. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Our 7yr old loved the pirate ship loft and feeding the turtle who lives on the river (his name is now James the turtle lol!). We fished, kayaked, cooked, played chess and pong. Very comfortable house for us all. The homeowners left sweet gifts for us which we truly appreciated and felt very welcome. Well stocked kitchen and baths. Comfy beds. Cozy sectional in the living room. We hope to stay there again! Thank you for the hospitality!

Peace and Quiet…and Fun too!

We just returned home from staying at this home on the Withlacoochie for an entire week! We have nothing but great things to say about our stay here, and have already discussed returning for vacation next year! The home is fun, cozy, and quirky all at the same time! It is tucked into a very quiet little town, very close to the gulf. if you are into peace and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. We were looking for somewhere close to the scallop grounds, but also nice and quiet, and this home did not disappoint. The home is large, offered lots of sleeping space, and was completely furnished with everything you can possibly need, including some fun arcade machines! It is on a canal right off the Withlacoochie and handled our 20ft center console bay boat without an issue. There is a boat ramp / bait shop right around the corner as well. The host Mandy, was extremely welcoming, and hospitable. Her and her husband were accommodating and helpful! They really worked to ensure we had a great stay, something I am super appreciative of.
