The house was perfect for our ski getaway. It was very warm, welcoming, comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The host was very prompt to respond to any questions we had and the house instructions were very clear and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Andrew, thank you for your feedback. Helena and I would love to host you and your family again.
We had a fantastic stay! The house was cozy and much larger than the photos suggest. Our group of seven (including 3 kids!) had plenty of space. Conveniently located near Santa's Village. Brad was kind and responsive.
Absolutely wonderful space; bigger than the pictures make it seem, thoughtful details everywhere, clean, great for kids with space downstairs, plus the indoor porch and backyard. Brad was quick with any questions or concerns and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our long weekend.
Overall our stay was ok at the cabin.Pros:Clean, tidy, well-appointedComfortable bedsGreat communication with the host and quick problem solvingNice, private property, and convienent locationCons:Two of the bedrooms were in a tight basement that had the expected basement smell and also a mouse mitigation unit that made a loud sound at night which was a bit bothersome. Our kids attempted to sleep down there but ended up sleeping upstairs for the trip. Although the upstairs is cozy I would say the basement is not and it's not the best setup for little ones. The main issue we had was that the water at the house has a very strong sulphur and iron smell. Maybe we're sensitive or overly cautious but everyone in the family noticed and was bothered by it. We didn't even want to rinse when brushing our teeth. We also opted not to make ice, coffee, any food that would be boiled in the water. We didn't bother the host with this one since there was nothing that could be done while we were there. The stay overall was comfortable but the water quality was a negative that detracted from our cozy cabin vacation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're very sorry that there were aspects of your stay that made you and your family uncomfortable. We take your concerns seriously, and we appreciate you bringing them to our attention. Regarding the water wells throughout White Mountains region are typically rich in iron which can occasionally cause an odor. Because of this we have both a water filtration system and a water softening system in place. The fact that you noticed an odor from the water May mean that the water softener simply needed to be regenerated, which is a relatively simple process that helps eliminate the odor we are sorry that you experience this during your stay, and we will make sure the system is checked and regenerated as needed. We were also very concerned to hear about the possibility of mice we have had guests staying at the house regularly for the better part of the last six months, including guests as recently as the week before your stay. The home is thoroughly cleaned and turned over between each rental and we have not received any previous reports of mice or signs of them. That said we would never want to dismiss what you experienced and we will be looking into this immediately and taking whatever steps are necessary to make sure it does not turn into an issue. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the lower level bedrooms. The lower level has been renovated, and because it's below grade, we have always tried to be especially mindful of moisture in any potential odors. We intentionally try to avoid materials or Furnishings that might hold moisture or smells and we run a dehumidifier to keep the space as dry and comfortable as possible we understand that the lower level bedrooms may not feel as cozy or inviting to every guest as the upstairs bedrooms and your feedback is something we will take into consideration as we continue making improvements. This home has been part of our family's life in New Hampshire for several generations and over the years the lower level has traditionally been a favorite space for the children in our family. However we recognize that what feels comfortable and familiar to us may not feel the same to every guest and we're sorry that the accommodations did not meet your expectations. We truly do everything we can to make sure the house is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming for every family who stays with us we also take guest reviews seriously and use them as an opportunity to make adjustments and improvements wherever we can. Most importantly, we regret that you and your family experience these concerns during your stay we want every guest to come to our home to leave with wonderful memories of their time in New Hampshire and we're sorry that parts of your experience fell short of that. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention and giving us an opportunity to address them.
We had a lovely stay in this property at Carroll. It was quiet and serene. The house was well equipped with all required amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The host had even kept some beverages in the fridge which he allowed us to use. The barbecue grill did not have enough propane but I had asked the host about this prior to our stay and he had told us about the best place to get the propane from. The interior of the house has a rustic decor which was very interesting. The only shortcoming was the entrance to the property. There is no mailbox and the number was written on a small pole. So we kept missing it a few times before we finally found it.we visited cannon mountain which was a short drive from the house. I would highly recommend staying at this place for a group of 6-8 people who love nature.

Thank you so much for the kind words and 5-star review! We’re truly grateful for your feedback and support. We sincerely apologize for the propane shortage during your stay, that was an oversight on our part, and we’ve already put steps in place to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Our goal is to make every guest feel completely at home, with thoughtful touches, a peaceful atmosphere, and everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
