About this property
Isolated Log Cabin with Panoramic Views of Cherry Pond and White Mountains
Fantastic place to escape into the woods, with panoramic views, closest house is a 1/2 mile away.
Almost new Log Cabin, just finished in 2017 on 34 acres with 1200 ft driveway provides privacy and fantastic views of Cherry Pond and from Mt Waumbek to Vermont. The Property abuts the White Mountain National Forest and you can hike out the top of the property to Owls Head and Mt Martha which is about 3.0 miles one way and 1600 ft of elevation change. Owls Head offers fantastic views of the entire presidential range.
The 1st floor bedroom has a queen bed, and the living area has a full size sleeper sofa. All mattresses are new memory foam mattresses. There is a storage loft that is accessed by a ladder, not stairs, so it is not appropriate for children under 5 or people unable to climb a ladder. The Cabin is off the electric grid with solar panels and batteries. One full bathroom with shower and an outdoor shower. My cleaner is phenomenal and the cabin is sanitized every time after each guest.
Fantastic covered screened in porch to enjoy the views and there is a Pavilion covering the fire pit area with picnic table that also has fantastic views. Cell phone reception is very good with Verizon and there is 4G and LTE service. The cabin does not have WIFI or a TV, dishwasher, or laundry. It is meant as a getaway and to get unplugged. During the day, the view is incredible and at night the stars are amazing with almost no light pollution.
Restaurants and towns are at least 15 minutes away on some of the most scenic roads in New England. Lancaster is 15 minutes, Bretton Woods is 15 min, Bethlehem is 20 min, Gorham is 21 min, and Littleton is 27 minutes. The journey is half the fun with many view points and activities outside of towns.
In the winter season, it is recommended to have AWD or 4WD vehicles as the driveway is about 1200 ft long uphill with a 10% slope.
Since I like to use the cabin a lot myself throughout the year, no monthly or seasonal rental is possible.

Perfectly cozy cabin with beautiful views! It was the perfect base camp for exploring, it had everything we needed. The couch and bed were very comfortable, perfect for curling up after a long day of hiking. The cabin was clean and well organized. We're already planning a return trip in warmer weather!
An amazing stay where we really got to disconnect from our phones, be present, and embrace the beauty of this cabin and views! We had a blast staying here and Ben was very helpful with any questions we had!
Cabin has a cute rustic charm. Very easy check in and when we had a small issue, then was quick to respond and had it fixed before we return from our day. Enjoyed the isolation and the porch was great to sit on at night.
I had a wonderful time staying at this cabin! It is quite cozy and has amazing views of the mountains. It is close to lots of trail heads. It is also very clean and the check in process is quite simple :)
This is a true getaway. The cabin is amazing and extremely clean. The bed is very comfortable, and the overall experience was better than expected. We will be back. Beautiful!!!!!
Beautiful secluded cabin but with everything you need to enjoy the mountains and recharge. The porch provides hours of peace and enjoyment just watching the views. Kitchen has everything you need, the beds are very comfortable, and the fire pit area provides another hangout space. Can’t wait to return.
This place is simply incredible! Highly recommend it! Every about it was a wonderful experience and the view out the front windows is the best motion picture.
My wife and I have been staying at various cabins in and around NH for a number of years. We like to find places in close proximity to the White Mountains for hiking. Ben’s place is exactly the spot we have been looking for for years. It checked every box, close to the whites, attractions and great places to eat within a short driving distance. The cabin was super clean, private and comfortable. We loved ot and can’t wait to go back.
What a wonderful experience. Each morning coffee on the screened in porch. At night, watching the stars that seemed like you could touch them. Mt Washington was a short drive where we took cog railway to top. The cabin is perfect for anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy nature. Ben, thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin.
This is exactly what our family needed: a step away from traditional Thanksgiving stress in a remote mountain side cabin. Tons of hiking trails, stunning views, local businesses to patron, just absolute bliss.
This cozy rustic cabin suited our needs well. It had everything we needed and the cool mountain air was wonderful to sleep in. We highly recommend this location.
It was an absolute delight to stay here. The views are spectacular and the cabin is comfortable and well organized. The host is prompt and responsive as well.
The location and view were amazing. My partner and I really enjoyed relaxing on the porch and cooking some food while we stayed. Highly recommended!

Avid Hiker, which is what brought me to this property after hiking in the White Mountains for 25 years. Purchased the 17 acres of land six years ago and built the cabin in 2017 on weekends while camping on site. I like to refer to the property as My Side of the Mountain, because of the young adult book by the same name.
Why they chose this property
You are out in the middle of nature abutting the White Mountain National Forest with no neighbors within view and the closet one is about 0.4 miles.
This newly built cabin is 1200 feet up a gravel driveway and is off grid with a solar electric system with batteries. We have 12 volt LED lighting and AC power for the fridge, hot water heater and outlets. There are also USB charging stations for your phones and tablets. Cell phone reception is very good with Verizon and there is 4G and LTE service. The cabin does not have WIFI or a TV. It is meant as a getaway and to get unplugged. The cabin does have two propane direct vent heaters and a propane stove in the kitchen. The Kitchen does have an undercounter fridge, stove, and large sink, but does not have a dishwasher, microwave or coffee maker. We do have a teapot and french press. We also do not provide a hair dryer.
What makes this property unique
There are two mountain bikes, hiking poles, and snow shoes at the cabin. We also have the AMC guidebook and trail maps for the white mountains to borrow and return please. The 20 mile long Presidential Rail Trail bike path is about 1.5 miles from the cabin. There are binoculars, telescope, books, games, and lincoln logs for old and young to enjoy.
