Premier location, steps away from historic downtown and one of the oldest houses in Sanford! • 1 double bed, upstairs • We’ve tried to create the most modern design we could imagine while incorporating the original fireplace and taking advantage of the dramatically vaulted ceilings and original beams which date back to 1894, and our love for jazz • Our goal is to exceed your expectations, provide a comfortable feeling like you are at home you'll see why this is our most popular apt.
History of the Home This home was built in 1894 and is one of the oldest houses in Sanford. In fact, Sanford is one of the oldest towns in Florida going back to the 1870’s. 212 West 4th is not only one of the oldest homes in Sanford but was also built and lived in by one of the most renowned and famous Sanford residents; W.J. Hill. In fact, he built it for his wife Alice and it stayed in the family until the mid 1920’s. Hill was one of the first merchants in Sanford and operated a Hardware store and lumber yard. The remnants of the lumber yard are directly behind this home (long metal yellow building) and what’s left of the hardware store is on the corner of Oak and 3rd and still bears the Hill Hardware original signage. If you’re interested to learn more about Sanford, the Hill Family or the lineage of who’s lived in this home, plan a visit with us and stay in this historic home!

The property was exactly as described and shown in the listing. The check in process went smoothly on the hosts' side, with good, detailed communication. The loft bed was cute and fun to relax in, but i did opt to use the fold-out couch for sleeping, as i am a bit tall. Overall, a fun weekend stay at a great location in walking distance to downtown!
The loft was exactly what I needed. The small space felt large and more than adequate. The loft was well stocked with most things you might find you need and didn't bring. Very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Jazz Loft. The décor is fun, it is so close to the downtown district and the marina. So many restaurants and Tuffy’s is a great music venue. The backyard area is fabulous. Eliana & Anthony are the best hosts. I had an issue when we first arrived, all me, and I called her at 11:30pm. Not only did she answer right away, she was pleasant (even though it was obvious I woke her up) she could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend this cute little place to stay.
When the hurricane canceled our weekend camping trip, we decided to go to Sanford and chill out. What better place to chill out than a place called the Jazz Loft.
The staircase to the front door, while not for the faint of heart, is sturdy and dependable. When you walk in, the Jazz themed murals that cover two of the walls made us feel welcome. The room was clean and organized and it contained everything we needed for our stay.
As nice as the room was, the highlight of this property may be its location. A short two to three block walk put us in the middle of historic Sanford. We spent the long weekend trying out some of the many eating and drinking establishments or just finding a quiet spot to watch the people, listen to live music and read our books.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Jazz Loft and plan to stay there again.

Thin walls. Could hear the people in the other loft. The loft was unsafe. The stairs outside going into the loft were shaky & unstable. As well as the spiral staircase inside going up to the mattress loft. Did not sleep up there. Did not trust the stairs, as well as did not trust sleeping up there. The small bars/barricade that is separating the small bed loft from the open air down to the first floor was completely unstable. The ceiling up there is so small and slanted, we did not trust it. And we’re not super tall people. Also, the apt/loft had all the stuff promised, but the craftsmanship was not good. There was a crack at the top of the front door and you could see the light outside, the walls and floors and doorframes and the shower walls, and even the bathroom sink seemed put together poorly and in a hurry.
