About this property
Cowboy Bunkhouse hot tub/lake/farm/nature
Kick back and relax in this unique hand- crafted historical bunkhouse. the charm of going back to a time period when there were more horses than cars on the road, and the dinnerbell rang to end the workday in the fields. A perfect mixture of rustic with all the modern amenities. This beautiful space sits on a 60 acre horse farm while only 15 min to downtown Indy. Once a home for cowboys, now a space for you to come enjoy nature at its finest. Wild deer, turkeys and the occasional eagle. Hot tub
Enjoy the serenity and seclusion of this unique cabin on our expansive 60-acre property in Indianapolis. Nestled on rolling hills, the cabin offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll along the trail behind the grey metal pole barn, which leads down to a picturesque pond. From the cabin, you can also observe our beautiful horses grazing in the nearby pasture.
What sets this property apart is that it is the only "Solar Farm" in the city of Indianapolis! Experience the eco-friendly features and benefits of this one-of-a-kind setup.
The cabin itself is a work of art, handcrafted with attention to detail. The ceilings feature milled walnut from northern Indiana, while the pallet wood used throughout the cabin is untreated and sourced from Kentucky. Custom-built cabinets, shelves, and a stair rail made from trees on the property add to the rustic charm.
As evening falls, witness the property come alive with the sounds of nature. Watch the sunset and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. A charcoal grill is provided for outdoor cooking, allowing you to savor delicious meals surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Keep an eye out for wildlife during your stay. It is not uncommon to spot deer in the field, turtles basking in the sun by the lake, our resident blue heron named "Harold," wild turkeys, or the adorable families of ducklings that inhabit the area in the spring.
Despite its proximity to the interstate and downtown, the property feels like a secluded nature preserve. Immerse yourself in the calming symphony of crickets chirping, fireflies dancing, horses playing, and the crackling of a fire as you roast marshmallows.
We are conveniently located on a main road, making it easy to find and access the property. However, for your safety and the well-being of our animals, we kindly request that you refrain from entering any gated pastures, barns, or outbuildings.
The cabin also offers a private hot tub enclosed by a fully privacy-fenced area. Indulge in relaxation as you soak in the hot tub on your paver patio back porch, enjoying complete privacy.
Don't miss the opportunity to experience this exceptional property that combines the best of both worlds - the convenience of city life and the tranquility of a nature retreat. Book your stay now and create lasting memories in this remarkable cabin.
We are here if you need us or we will allow you your privacy if you rather.
We would really appreciate if you could follow the below house rules. I know, I know, rules are boring… But these rules ensure we can provide future guests with a great experience.
Kitchen:
Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. We supply tea and coffee, as well as cooking utensils should you wish to cook. My only request is that you wash all dishes and utensils prior to leaving.
Smoking: please refrain from smoking anywhere inside the house. Outdoors is totally fine, we just ask you leave nothing behind :)
Noise:
As neighbours surround our property, and our family lives right across the lake, we would appreciate if you could keep noise down after 10pm
Horses:
We do have horses in the pasture right next to the house. While they are very friendly and enjoy attention, we ask that you do NOT feed them as equine animals have very sensitive digestive systems, and although they probably wouldnt bite on purpose, they cannot tell if fingers are in the way.
Groundskeeping:
We do have a groundskeeper who helps us keep our 60 acres under control with mowing, weedeating and landscaping. We do our best to do most of this work between 11 am and 3 pm. If you see someone pulling weeds, cleaning air filters, or mulching, just know we are doing our best to make your stay as beautiful as possible :)
