Perfect Weekend Getaway Spot

My girlfriend and I loved how the cabins were set up! It's cozy and private with lots of comforts from the electric fireplace to the beautiful little waterfall nearby. The trails were also chocked full of cool attractions! Definitely worth the visit!

Awesome Glamping

Simple, cute place to go to for outdoor adventures! The two couches fold down for a few more people.Enough room for our fur babies. Ample amount of yard space plus a beautiful background drop for weddings or photos.Great host, she’s very responsive.

Communication was absolutely horrific. Got there and the place was not set up for 4 adult guests as was promised. Only 2 bath towels, no hand towels, no paper towels and only 2 sleeping pillows. AND, there was a concession trailer parked in the driveway with a generator that ran non-stop for the majority of our stay. We arrived on Friday evening and left Sunday morning. Even though we contacted our host within a hour of arrival we never heard back from her!

Great home base for exploring Cook Forest

Initially I was feeling disappointed because this cabin backs up to the road and there is a big white house across the street so it didn't feel as woodsy as i hoped, but it was actually a very quiet road and we enjoyed having a camp fire in the yard. The cabin was not unlocked but Brittany came right over and let us in.over and let us in.

Birthday weekend

We had such a nice time and we enjoyed this place so much!! One minor wi-fi issue was all we suffered and that was not a big deal whatsoever. This place is cozy, quiet, warm, and I would 100% go back again.

Cozy Cabin

Cozy cabin in a quiet area to enjoy some R&R. A few details missing but overall everything worked out well. Owner/Property Manager communication and follow through was fantastic. Was a great location to stay for our baby moon where we just wanted to stay in and relax, cook some quiet meals and enjoy a nice bonfire. Backyard can’t be beat!

Warm and welcoming

My husband and I went to have a little getaway for our anniversary. When we first arrived we were in complete awe!! There were plants in every room making it a warm welcoming and just the feel of home. The cabin was so nice and clean. The property manager is very nice and never left a question unanswered. We will definitely be stay at this property again in the future.

Getaway

This property is very nice. Also, very new. The kitchen could be stocked a little bit better. However, for where it's located and what you're using it for, i.e., going hiking and things like that it's perfect.

Worst Vacation Experience

We drove 2.5 hours (with our dog) and arrived at a LOCKED cabin on Valentine's Day. We and VRBO couldn't reach the host by phone or messages. I received check-in details 3 days before travel. I paid the final rental payment the day before the deadline/check-in and there was no communication from the host to indicate that the reservation would need cancelled. VRBO kept us on the phone for an hour while in the vicinity of the cabin. We didn't want to stay in the local dog-friendly hotel for our getaway, so we drove 2.5 hours home. There was no apology or explanation from the host. Book this cabin at your own risk.

Lovely place

We went for a 2 night stay between Christmas and New Years and enjoyed our stay. It was warmer than expected, which made things a little muddy outside for the dogs, but that was nobody's fault. We also should have prepared better with napkins and paper towels, as those were not available. It was a beatifully decorated cabin that we would be happy to stay at again!

Just a couple suggestions

We enjoyed the cabin except we were a little dismayed there was no address number, made it a bit hard to know the rt cabin. Also, since it was somewhat cold and rainy we could not really enjoy watching tv because it is not set up to enjoy programming we wanted and very difficult to understand even how to work the tv!

Nice place, sparse appointments

Nice little cabin, cobwebs in bathroom and dusty shelves, no stopper for the kitchen sink to wash dishes, no broom to sweep up tracked in pine needles from back yard (neither front nor back porch were swept), no dresser to put clothes in, front door curtains where cut with scissors crooked and frayed, 2 bikes on front porch were unexpected but each one had a flat tire. Minisplit at far end of house meant having to turn temperature way down to get into bedroom. Bed was hard-no box springs under mattress. Outdoor fire pit and seating was very welcoming, we used it at night. Just a few tweaks and it would be perfect!

Weekday getaway

We stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday nights. If you are not looking to cook the only place to eat breakfast is the Kelly Hotel bar and restaurant. The only lunch and dinner restaurant in Marienville is Bettina’s Italian restaurant and a couple local bars. The Allegheny Forest is within a 15 minute drive. As far as the rental is concerned there are some minor things to consider. You need to let the hot water run for about 10 minutes before it gets through the pipes. The couch is not comfortable and would only be good for children to sleep on since they are not long enough for an adult. There is no toilet paper holder or towel racks in the bathroom. There are no closets so you need to keep your clothes in your suitcase. There are 4 cabins on the property and we stayed in one closest to the main road. The bathroom faces the road so a curtain on the window would have been nice. A curtain on the front door is needed too for privacy.
