This is one fantastic house in a great location. Everything you might need for a great vacation is provided. We are a family of 8 adults and 4 kids and there was so much room for us to spread out or come together. It’s immaculately clean and so comfortable. The host responds immediately and addressed a few small issues. I can’t rave about it enough. We love love CMP and are returning to this perfect house next year!

Wonderful Location and Great Memories

My family had an amazing time at Laughing Pines. The house is comfortable, well-appointed, and easy to settle into—everything we needed was right there. It sits in a beautiful natural setting that gives off classic Jersey Shore vibes, but with all the modern touches that make a stay effortless.We especially loved how close it was to Pearl Street Beach. We spent our days swimming and our evenings catching some truly stunning sunsets. Local farm stands and restaurants were just a short ride away—easy to reach by bike or car.It was the kind of week that felt both fun and refreshing. Laughing Pines gave us exactly what we were hoping for: a laid-back, memorable family getaway.

Wonderful Beach House

My extended family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Beach House in Cape May Point. We’ve been coming to the Point for over 40 years now, and the family has grown, so it’s was great to be able to fit us all in one house. The location couldn’t be beat, and the house had everything we needed for our beach getaway.

Love Laughing Pines!

Our family loves this house, this was our 3rd time staying here - cozy yet spacious - the perfect space to relax and enjoy time with family. Each time we can see improvements and upgrades. The location itself cannot be beat, a short walk over the dune to a beautiful not-crowded beach, and the host is kind, attentive and responsive. We had a wonderful week!

Laughing Pines is an ideal vacation home that offers the very best Cape May Point experiences along with top notch comfort and style. The house is extremely well stocked with everything you could ever need. We’ve stayed four years in a row and will be back again next year. It just doesn’t get better than this.

Cape May Point Family Fun

The family friendly home was perfect for my children and my grandchildren. The garage included bikes, shuffleboard, balls, and beach toys. Towels & bedding were included which was important for family who flew in from California & Colorado. The beach path was next to our house and the ocean just over the dunes. Beautiful beach and sunsets!

Cape May, NJ at it's best

I can't imagine why anyone would pay $200 or more a night at a hotel when they could stay in a six-bedroom private residence literally a few feet from the beach for what equates to be less. Your beautiful home equipped with not one but two split level gathering kitchens was a nice bonus. The value added amenities of towels, chairs and bikes helped with packing requirements as well. Thank you for sharing your home we hope to return!

Best Beach House By Far

We have been vacationing at our beloved Cape May Point for the past 30 years and "Laughing Pines" was absolutely the best rental property ever. The location was what first attracted us -nestled in the dunes with a semi-private path to the beach - no street lights between you and the Atlantic, amazing! The house itself accommodated our multi-generational family very nicely. Lovely bedrooms, comfy living rooms, a cook's kitchen and second floor deck which we congregated on constantly! The amenities were incredible: beach toys, bikes, telescope, linens, grill, etc! The owner was extremely responsive to our needs. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back...

Family vacation fun in the sun

What an amazing property. The house is beautiful and very well kept. Everything that you need is there just as if you were at your own home. Property is very private and a very short walk to the beach down the path in the back. Kathryn the host is wonderful and very responsive to your needs and questions. Everything you need for the beach is provided in the house; umbrellas, coolers, chairs, beach toys. This was a family vacation and we had family members of all ages including my 85 year old mother; everyone had a WONDERFUL time. If you want a beautifully kept home on the beach with a wonderful host and abundance of amenities this is the house for you!

The Berry Bunch at Cape May Point

We were provided with everything… and more than we needed. My daughter and son in law from Florida, with two children in tow, could not have been more thrilled that they didn’t have to pack towels,toys,bedding etc. also true for my other two adult kids who also had 2 children each . From sun up til sundown, everyday was spent on the beach. There is no finer location in Cape May Point… we’re all convinced of that! The pathway to the beach provided hours of fun for the children… climbing trees and looking for treasure!! Every night we enjoyed dinner together on the screened in back porch, which had ample room…. then upstairs to the beautiful porches to enjoys the stars as the kids fell asleep one by one. This house was a perfect fit for our family!

Lovely Cape May Point Escape

This house is incredible! It fit our family reunion perfectly. The bedrooms are outfitted with great mattresses and wonderful sheets, and plenty of bath and beach towels. The upstairs is a fantastic addition with an extra living room and TV and a nice cold kitchen area for lunches and cocktails. Downstairs, the great room and screen porch were so very appreciated. The kitchen was outfitted with excellent tools and pots and worked really well for multiple cooks. And the location! The dunes have grown so beautifully in Cape May Point and we were just a dune away from a very quiet beach - right next to the volley ball beach which made our grown up kids very happy. I have been coming to Cape May since a child and to Cape May Point for 20+ years and this was the very best house and location!

Superb in every way!

We had our first whole family vacation with 3 adult children spouses and 5 very young grandchildren for a total of 13! The house fit our needs beyond every expectation and then some! I don't have enough superlatives to do it justice. It is just superb in every way for a large family. It is directly on the beach (the perfect beach for small children)! It is in Cape May Point ( the perfect beach community for small children)! It is huge (6 big bedrooms and plenty of room to get away from small children)! It is TOTALLY equipped (it does need a better wine opener). It is close to the store (great for small children)! It is close to the lighthouse and bird walk (great to get away from small children). It was spotless when we arrived (contrary to some other reviews). It is everything you could possibly want in a vacation beach house. Towels, beach toys, bikes, games, binoculars, we really didn't need to bring anything except ourselves and a bathing suit (and a cork screw). And all the children loved it, especially the big ones. If you need a large place on the beach this is a magnificent choice.

Be careful

This is our third time renting this house. Our first two times were vastly different than our third......and likely last. The house was not clean and had ants in the kitchen. When we told the owner, we were simply told there's bug spray in the closet. We did not raise the lack of cleanliness when we checked in, this was a mistake. We left the house much cleaner than we found it. Subsequent to our departure we were accused of excessive nighttime noise, breaking items in the house, and leaving the house very dirty, all fundamentally untrue. We cleaned the house prior to our departure. Additionally, there's a "cleaning crew", who is supposed to clean the house. As to the noise, we were in bed at or before 10pm each night. Further, my parents, who are over 70 were staying as well. This accusation was a falsehood and only came up after our departure. Lastly, we were accused of having excessive trash. The trash area is unsuitable for a house this size. I am at a loss as to how to limit trash for 15+ people. All of our trash was in the limited trash cans or large garbage bags, so I am not clear on the issue. If you are going to rent this house, I would recommend documenting every blemish, and flaw otherwise you risk being errantly financially accountable. We were very disappointed in our dealings with the owner. The house may seem like a great deal, renters beware.

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful home. We were two families sharing the home which was very spacious for our group with the two levels of living space. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The location to the very quiet and beach is wonderful. Bikes , chairs and everything you need to for a perfect vacation was provided. The property manage was very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to be back again next summer.

Fabulous House!

Beautiful home! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s even nicer in person. Very clean and well maintained and beds are comfortable. Well stocked with everything you could need during your stay including bedding and towels which is rare for rentals in the area. Prime location next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape May. We loved our time here! Just note the owner is very particular about house rules and protocols regarding shoes and sand in the house so be prepared to be conscientious during your stay.

5 stars beach house

The house is amazing and the beach is really quiet. The whole week, there was at most 3 families on our section of the beach. As for the house, the owners provide pretty much everything from beach toys for the kids (plenty) and towels. Just beware of the shuffleboard in the garage... you can easily spend your whole day there instead of the beach... The whole family had a great time!

What a wonderful week it was....

Beautiful unique home on the beach was a wonderful place for our large extended family! Quiet location in the dunes was calm and peaceful yet close enough the groceries and amusements! Everything you need is provided - tons of bikes, boogie boards, towels etc and an ample kitchen to cook for a crowd. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
