A couples’ retreat, the Canyon Wren Cottage is sculpted into bedrock amongst pinion pines and old growth mountain mahogany brush. A picturesque erosion sculpted sandstone monolith rises four stories at the edge of the yard, just beyond the cottage. The approach to the cottage from Teasdale Road, is down a short lane crossing through woodland fringed meadow with a wetland on one side and alfalfa cultivation on the other. The backdrop is beautiful rock form, including a large balanced rock.

Fantastic Place to Stay Near Capitol Reef National Park
What a great place to stay, with beautiful views and quite surroundings. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. The internet worked fine and the television was large. The unique custom wood work inside was very impressive.Less than a 5 minute drive to the town of Torrey, Utah which has numerous restaurants and places to buy groceries. Capitol Reef was about 10 minutes away and an easy drive.I'd stay here again in a heart beat.
We almost hate to give this place such a high rating as we hope to be back soon and feel it will become more and more popular. It's very small but cozy. Perfect for a couple but would be tight for more and someone would need to sleep on the coach or floor. Abundant supplies for kitchen and cleaning. We heard it recently changed hands so hope nothing changes, e.g, price or availability.
Beautiful location. Lovely home, clean, perfect get away spot.
We enjoyed relaxing in this cozy home away from home. We enjoyed the views. We appreciated the uniqueness of this hand crafted and beautifully decorated home.
Owners have gone the extra mile to make this vacation rental comfortable and attractive with a sophisticated western decorative theme. It is well located for a visit to Capitol Reef National Park and offers a quiet, beautiful location away from the crowds. I'd go back anytime.
This really was an ideal property to wake up in and return to after a day of exploring the area. Evenings were peaceful and quiet, mornings bright. We’d definitely stay here again and had nothing about the rental that we’d change.
We loved our weekend stay at this property. Great location. Went back and forth to the park numerous times. The inside was clean and was a great set up. I could not complain about anything besides the clutter outside the cabin but that is what country life is about! Cannot wait to come back and stay again! Property Manager was amazing and responed quickly when we had questions.
What a gem!!! We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage/cabin. The covered porch and outdoor seating area are wonderful. The interior was so pretty and clean. Alice informed us that the gentleman next door built it and did the incredible wood craftsmanship on the interior. We were visiting national parks on this trip and got rained out one afternoon - what a treat to have satellite tv. Top notch - definitely recommend.
Nestled in a giant rock formation, this property continues the visual delights for which one comes to Capitol Reef. The property manager was wonderfully responsive when problems arose. The only thing 4 stars about it was the property maintenance equipment left outside near the entrance to the unit. Hopefully, we’ll be able to come back. This is a great place from which to view the splendors of Capitol Reef.
This home is one of a kind. The location right at the base of a wall of rocks is so unique. This was a perfect location for Capital Reef adventures. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. This is a wonderful get away for a couple. Highly recommend this cabin.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Such a beautiful abode in a beautiful spot. Loved the art work on the walls, Mother Natures work out the windows and the use of knarly wood inside. Brought along our own Christmas tree. The place was well equipped and comfortable and close to the park.
