This place is great. The cabin was clean and adorable and stocked more than i expected. The location on the beach gives and incredible view and you can watch the sunrise over the water from the porch. Will stay again
So cute!!!! We are so happy we found this cabin. It is absolutely adorable and sits right on the beach. We walked along the beach, enjoyed morning coffee on the porch, and watched the sunrise over Lake Huron. We had 4 adults and we felt we had plenty of space. We look forward to staying here again!
Cabin was like a tiny home. Worked well for us. Great location, right on the lake.

The cabin is exactly what we expected. Neat & clean, but quite small. Perfect place to sleep & prepare food if your plan is to spend most of your time outdoors or away from the cabin. However, parking is a nightmare. The cabins share a very crowded lot with adjacent motels. There was a lot of illegal parking that did not seem to be addressed by management. Very difficult to maneuver and find a space close to the cabins. Also, because of the close proximity to other cabins and motels, it was pretty noisy. There was still a lot going on outside after 11 PM.

Family trip
Overall, it was a good experience. Location to ferry and downtown mackinaw was good. Cabin was good size for what we wanted. Right on the beach. However the beach is very rocky. Make sure to have water shoes for the kids. Check in was good, except being told we could check in at 1pm and showing up at 3pm and the unit was being cleaned at that time. So we had to wait until 4pm. We would stay there again. Gave location a 3 because the cabins sit behind a run down lookin hotel that is still operating. Kind of a odd location but nice to be on the beach.
The cabin was great. We really enjoyed it. It was very relaxing waking up to the sun and the water. We had a problem with the TV's the first night, and left a message for the host, a maintenance person was there to fix them within 10 minutes. He changed one TV and got a new remote for the other one. Like many of the reviews, the cabin did not have a broom and because it is on the beach, the floor was covered the first night. I would give it a 5 star if there was a way to clean the floor. We hope to go back next year.
We enjoyed staying at the cabin again. Had a chance to enjoy the lake and beach front. Jodi was very responsive to any questions we had.
We’ll be back next year.

1, We were not able to get into the cabin with the directions provided.2. When we reached out, we did not hear back from host, but someone showed up (that we were not expecting) to help us.3. That person was not able to help us because the keypad was faulty.4. Another person came with keys and did maintenance on the keypad while we unpacked. 5. When we gained access to the cabin, it was well over 80 inside and had obviously not been aired out prior to our arrival nor was the air-conditioning on.6. Beach was ok. Firepit looked great. 7. Bugs were found in the linens (see pics). Unclear what kind. She had yet ANOTHER person come to check out the bugs who assured us they weren’t bed bugs but agreed they were some kind of bugs. Host offered to have housekeeping change sheets, but we were unsettled by the events preceding, and ended up leaving to find lodging elsewhere. While I’m glad Jodi, the host, was responsive when we contacted her with issues, she did not keep us in the loop, prepare ahead of time to avoid these issues, or apologize for our experience. As a loyal VRBO member, I am so disappointed. I wish this had been a different visit.
It was a nice lil cabin tucked away behind a Hotel, not a spot you would think, but the Cabin sits right on the beach & you can sit on the porch & enjoy the sunrise & sunset every day & night, or on the beach in the nice chairs & loungers on the beach, we enjoyed the fires at night, jst need to go get the wood (The Mall, convenient store right up the road was the best & cheapest $5 bundles) dont buy from the gas syations $9.99 bundkes.we will be back!! The cabin was clean & smelled of fresh wood!! Brds are all very firm, Futon, bunks & queen bed.excellent cabin for the price!!

Clean Cabin, Tight Squeeze
The cabin is new and very clean. The description says two bedrooms but the bunk beds are in a hallway, not a separate bedroom. We had the max amount of people, 6. The cabin does not comfortably fit 6, I would say 4 max. The bunk beds have plastic mattresses, very hard for an adult. The cabin is great for a family of four, would not suggest more than that. The view from the front is very beautiful. You have to park in an old motel, very tight squeeze for vehicles. Cabin is close to everything in town.
it was so convenient to have a cabin right on the water. we had fun splashing around and rock hunting. it was easy to get to the ferry for Mackinac Island and close to shops.
The automatic door lock gave us some trouble, we had to call maintenance a couple of times to help us get into the cabin. thankfully, the staff at The motel were super helpful and prompt. shout out to the maintenance guy, scott. He was awesome. Communication with the host was basically nonexistent.
The actual cabin is small but worked well for us. Unfortunately, the cabin was very poorly stocked and did not have many of the amenities that were listed in the VRBO write up. The beach was dirty with a ancient metal swing set right in front of the cabin. The buildings surrounding the cabins were very run down.

View makes it worth it
The cabin was clean, no spiders inside. Super super hot water. We walked down the beach to the ferry. I didn’t realize until I seen the recent reviews that the cabin is behind an old motel. The view is still awesome, but I wish the old swing set could be removed. People walking by the bedroom window late at night. Still enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed our stay. Location is great. Right on the beach and close to town.
Very pleased. Although the mattresses on the beds are very hard.
Would suggest the following to make guests more comfortable: hooks for clothing and wet towels. There is no place to hang anything in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Waste basket in bathroom. Fitted sheets on bunk beds. Another chair by the couch area. Stools at breakfast bar nice.
Take the plastic off light in bunk bed area. Not safe and could melt to glass if it hasn’t already.
New Broom. I will upload photos.
The location on the water was nice, but the beach was very dirty, the chairs and equipment in various states of falling apart. The cabin itself was mostly clean with a few significant exceptions- spider webs in light fixtures. The linens here were stained, thin and totally unacceptable at this price point.
Overall we were comfortable, but there were some areas that could be improved. 1. There were no sheets for the sofa bed. 2. The bathroom door did not fully close and lock. I recommend that they put a garbage can as well as some towel racks in the bathroom. 3. I recommend providing actual coffee mugs, the paper cups provided started to burn in the microwave.
Location was behind several run-down, old motels. It was confusing--vrbo ad misleading.
Cabin was nice, but overpriced. If any of the amenities truly were available there was no info about how to access--only communication from host was door code.
Very disappointed in money spent--felt deceived/scammed.
