Family Vacation

We had a fantastic time staying here for our family trip to Vermont. This house was true to the pictures posted and we loved the outdoor spaces as well. It was clean, updated, and cozy. The house was lacking a few necessities like a frying pan and spatula, but we made due with what we had. The reviews helped me pack accordingly as far as bringing some of my own things like salt, pepper, oil, and other kitchen essentials. We had a great time hiking and exploring the area. I would definitely come back here again!

Overall, the home was ok. Views were amazing and the location provided peace and solitude. The space was clean. Some issues that came up for us: -One TV was broken and could not be hooked up; -the full kitchen had very minimal cookware and no basic cooking items (no salt & pepper, no oil, no spices, etc) - I have stayed in many places with full kitchens and they all have had more in the way of basic kitchen staples. This is particularly important in a rural area where you need to drive 15 mins to get groceries. -One of the chairs was so loose in nearly broke; -there are no tissues, just toilet paper; -one bathroom has outdoor brick as the floor, so it's being on the patio...inside.. So no massive problems, just several annoying/frustrating things that added up. However, a more substantial issue - the heat in one of the rooms was broken (permanently on) and one guest had to sleep in the living room because the room was too hot, even with the window and door open. We tried to get Vacasa to fix it but they were not helpful. So maybe this aspect is more about the company that the home itself, but worth noting. Overall, is the place fine? Yes. Does it have enough? Yes. Is the environment around the house beautiful? Yes. But does it have "the little things" that make the difference between "just ok" and "great"? In our experience, no.

Mixed experience

The house itself is nice, but I had some problems with the property. The house is located on an unpaved road on a mountain up a steep driveway. There is a long uneven stone walkway leading to the house.The walkway was barely lit at night, and when we arrived at 6 pm all the lights in the house were off. Walking to the house and trying to find the entry keypad in the dark was difficult. The second day I tripped in the dark on the uneven stones and fell hard, injuring my hand and hip. I have a 7" bruise on my hip, and I cut my right hand and it was bleeding. There was no first aid kit in the house. I contacted Vacasa about a first aid kit and they responded unhelpfully "there should be one somewhere in the house." There was not. A Thanksgiving day snowstorm brought over 6 inches of snow and the walkway to the house was never shoveled for us. Even worse, there was no snow shovel at the house, leaving us to use a tiny cheap plastic broom to clear the snow. Upon contacting Vacasa I was told "there should be a snow shovel there." There was not.I don't advise going there unless you have a 4 wheel drive car. On the evening of the snowstorm my minivan couldn't make it up the hill to the house. After sliding around and almost slipping off the edge of the hill we abandoned the car in the snow and walked about 100 feet or more up the steep front hill to the house in the dark with a 90 year old relative. Very dangerous.Also the TV only has Netflix and Vudu. GET ROKU!

Had a very nice stay. The only issue was with the trash. Spent two days going back and forth with vacasa. The trash barrels were locked in the garage and didnt have a key. Never received a resolution.

The house and location are amazing; we loved being in a quiet spot with a gorgeous view. However the local property manager (Vacasa) was zero help. The national rep would stay in contact but there was no follow up locally. TV did not work, no info or access to garbage or recycling until I reached out asking what to do (we stayed for over a week), kitchen very poorly stocked for a house that slept 5 people.

Family Vacation

Our family had a great time staying at the yellow house. It was clean, cozy, and exactly how the pictures portrayed it. Everything was up to date and well maintained. It was missing a few of the basics (frying pan, spatula, salt/pepper and other cooking essentials), but we made due with what was there and brought some of our own things. The property was beautiful. We enjoyed some of the outdoor spaces around the house, hiking, and the beautiful views. I would definitely stay here again!

VT November Get-a-way

On the down side: It's VERY dark in the house. Other than kitchen & bath, lighting is poor. Walls are all dark which attributes to the lighting issue. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked. Unfamiliar with propane, I could only get one burner to work on the stove. No cleaning supplies were available for me to use if needed. Bring a wand if you want to watch television. Wish we knew that. On the up side: Overall, very nice. Scenery is remarkable. Indoor climate-perfect; bedding-wonderful; plentiful towels; master shower is great! Plenty of room and lighting in the kitchen. With a few alterations by the owner, I'd definitely stay there again.

Loved the house and the location. Yard and porch were nice. Amenities were ok. We never did get the TV to work and struggled with the HVAC. There were five of us, four adults, one 14-year-old, so hot water was a little scarce. Small problems that would have likely been corrected with a phone call. My wife and I would love to spend a week at this house.
