Best Beach Condo

We go to Crescent every summer. This is by far the best beach condo we have stayed in - more bathrooms, roomy and very clean and comfy. We will definitely be back!

serene beach location w/ modern clean condo

Crescent beach is beautiful, large, powdery white sand, and serene in that there were very few other people in the area. It’s far enough from St. Augustine that you don’t feel the hustle and bustle but close enough that you can get to the city in just a short drive and still closer are ample restaurants and groceries.

Great stay. Hot water ran out with showers after second shower (and was not in long). I misread that it was ocean view not oceanfront. Very nice place though. We enjoyed!

We really enjoyed the condo. With 5 kids its hard to find something to accommodate everyone, but this place did it. We were also pleased and surprised to find board games and beach things to help make our stay more comfortable and more like home.

Slice of paradise!

We were in town for a wedding but wanted to also enjoy a long weekend away. V-trips was extremely accommodating with several different things for us. The home was cozy and inviting and a one minute walk to be on the beach was just awesome! Will definitely be back!

Great place to stay.

The property is great. There are alot of stairs, 3 story condo ,plus stairs to and from beach. About 20 mins from Castillo de San Marcos and shops @ St Augustine. We didnt have A/C the first 24 hrs of our stay but they property management came out on Sunday to try and fix and luckly they were able to. That only issue we had. Overall a great place to relax and get away from the crowds

Relaxing retreat

We loved the property. Beautiful pool and easy beach access. Beaches were beautiful and clean, great for walking on packed white sand. The unit has lots of stairs so definitely not for those with mobility issues. I do think if you’re staying for a week you should be given more than one garbage bag, one roll of TP per bathroom, one tiny bar of soap per bathroom, no clean sponge, one small roll of paper towels, no Kleenex. Just seems like a strange way to save money. If you’re flying in for a week you shouldn’t have to buy all of this.

Great spot for family- gorgeous beach

The property is very nice, and the condo was in excellent condition. Many reviews mentioned the stairs. There is a set leading up to the front door and then a typical boardwalk with steps leading up and over the dunes. They weren’t excessive at all, but all bedrooms do require using stairs, so worth knowing if anyone has mobility issues. The beach was one of the prettiest I have seen. Very clean and private. The evening scenery is very serene. We would love to stay again, but I’ll need to get more info on how the front door lock works when inside the unit. I had trouble telling if we were secured at night. The area felt very safe so we didn’t stress about it.

Some problems. Unit ok

We were unable to access lower doors. So it was difficult to always go the same way up stairs. Unable to keep bikes or beach equipment ground level because their was no access locked out. Loud construction going on next door during our last two weeks. Some compensation should be given for that not peaceful. No broom or mop had to call for. Overall nice unit.

Key Pad wouldn’t work when we arrived at 1:30 am, it took the rep on the phone numerous times before we could enter. After traveling all day and night it was a lot. The rep was doing her best though. Smoke detector battery died and beeped for forever until we removed the battery at 3:23am so needless to no sleep. Multiple texts from the rep about replacing battery we were in and out so much a time wasn’t working and when I’d give timelines that would it never happened. Bathroom vents seriously need cleaned, there appeared to be dried poop in the bathroom waste basket whatever it was was gross. The balcony couch is t even usable as the cushions are moldy and wet. I’d suggest a couple small plastic hairs and small stand. The couch and lovey could use a shampoo was they somewhat smelled. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice place and great area just some things need to be done and as far as smoke detectors the batteries should be changed twice a year so that never happens and for safety reasons.

Beautiful updates, but that’s it.

This is difficult for me to write, because I really do not like to complain. However, I wish there had been a review stating these things. We have stayed at spyglass many times in different units that are managed by the on-site property manager and have always had a great experience. We love staying at spyglass!! The photos of this particular unit are beautiful, and the updates to the kitchen, bathrooms, and staircase are very nice. Unfortunately however, the comfort level of the unit did not match. When we arrived, the floor felt dirty and after walking around in bare feet for a few minutes, the bottoms of our feet looked dirty. The sofas were not comfortable, there were no rugs anywhere - a door mat in front of entryways would go a long way. One of the biggest surprises was that guests staying in this unit do not have access to the garage. The other rental units in this community give access to the garage which allows for storage of beach items, a place to grill and a space to park the car. With a unit that can sleep 8, only one parking space in the driveway is not enough. Any additional car will need to find guest parking - which is very limited on-site. If you do decide to stay here, be aware that there are very limited beach items for you to use; you should plan to bring chairs, toys, tents, beach towels, etc.Overall, we probably won’t stay in this unit again. We will use the on-site rental program in the future.

Location and amenities are great!

We had a great time. The beds and rooms were cozy. I would suggest that if you have bad knees or a difficulty with stairs this place isn't for you. Stairs to get in and stairs to get to the pool. Watch for bunnies, they are everywhere and make sure your second vehicle gets a parking spot or there won't be one. Another tip is do not turn on the ice maker at night because it's very loud. Sounds like someone knocking on the door repetitively and you can hear it all over the condo. Over all, minimal complaints and enjoyed our stay. Oh and I don't know how noticeable it will be to anyone else but the paint job drove me bonkers. Beautiful colors, just really rushed job with paint splotches everywhere and on everything. Just a heads up but I cleaned it off all the lights witches and counter tops as best I could. ;)

Great place for families

Loved it. I will definitely return. I love the condo, loved the beach and loved the town. It’s perfectly located, a short walk to a beautiful beach, and right in front of the pool. The place was just as described and had most of the items you’ll need. There are a few things it doesn’t include. So keep that in mind when you visit; bring your own shampoo, laundry detergent. I suggest bringing lots of drinking water since tap water doesn’t taste good. They don’t provide many garbage bags. If you like to cook, the pots and pans are a bit old and food sticks to them. Also bring anything you’ll need for the beach: beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels etc. Apart from that, most things they do have. The place itself is super comfortable and clean. It’s spacious, we were a family of 4 my sister. Me and my husband stayed in the master bedroom, my kids in the bedroom with two twin beds (both upstairs on 3rd floor) the master has its own bathroom and it’s large and comfortable. There another bathroom for the kids in the upstairs hallway. The second floor has the kitchen and living room with 2 sofa beds. The kitchen is not super well equipped, but equipped enough. There’s a balcony on that level as well, cozy. Then there’s the lower level, it’s like a basement. It has it’s own bathroom and a sofa bed and tv. The washer and dryer are in this level. Also the door to go in and out from the beach and pool. In conclusion, we loved it and will come better prepared next time
