We enjoyed staying in Nicole’s lovely home. The house is conveniently located a stone’s throw from downtown Edenton. Her restoration of this historical property was thoughtfully done and balanced modern conveniences with historical charm. Nicole was a great host.

Great house

My 3 friends and I had a wonderful visit in Edenton and this house was great! It had two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom, a great kitchen and den, a card table in another room and an entire back house with two comfortable beds and a bathroom. There was a ton a room for the four of us. Between the two houses is a large patio with a nice sized table and chairs and then another seating area that has lighting for an evening outside. The neighborhood is safe and close to downtown so we could walk to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this home!!Julie K.

Super comfy historic home in the midst of Edenton!

Myself and 2 other women were in the area for two golf tournaments. This house was a wonderful find, for sure! The home was exceptionally clean, was well stocked, and we had a wonderful time enjoying the games that were there from corn hole to Rummikub! The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfy! What more could one ask for? Nicole, you have a gem there! Thanks for sharing!!

Perfect House for a Family Get Together - 5 Stars!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house has lots of historic charm, but is updated with all of the modern conveniences and is very comfortable and well appointed. It was also super clean, which we SO appreciate! Our adult kids really enjoyed staying in the cottage. It was too hot outside to enjoy the patio, but it would be fantastic when the temps are cooler. It was fun to walk down the block to the Farmer's Market and check out the local fare. Downtown Edenton and the waterfront are lovely! A trip to the Outer Banks was only an hour and 15 minutes. Wish we had been able to stay longer!

Annual Family Weekend

So pleased! The Price House was the perfect location and house for our family weekend. The kitchen was well appointed and made preparing the side dishes I needed to take very enjoyable. The house was spotless. Instructions and checkin was super easy. Nicole was very responsive and helpful when we had a question before and during our booking. The other great thing was that we were able to bring our lab with us. She’s part of the family and a great traveler. She enjoyed the walk to the farmers market Saturday morning. It’s always so nice when you don’t have to leave them behind. We hope to stay here again next year. Edenton is such a cute town and only a short trip to our family farm. The Price House was a great plan for our overflow. Thank you, Nicole!

Older is definitely better!!!

Not only did the house still have the quaint historic charm, the owners have done an excellent job in updating the entire home from the beautiful kitchen appliances and cabinets to each bathroom. The addition of the extra sleeping quarters in the back offer an excellent "getaway" for a couple or older children. My husband and I used this area as "ours" and what a wonderful night's rest we had! The house is perfectly furnished down to soaps, shampoos and coffee. The house is located less than a 5 minute drive to the beautiful water front and dinning area. We especially loved viewing the stately homes along the drive into town. A stay in this home will certainly make you reminisent of good times gone past and remind you of the famous town of "Mayberry" while allowing you to enjoy all the conveniences of modern day living. We had never been to Edenton before this trip but we are already making plans to return again!!

We were so lucky to find this gem of a place! Nicole was wonderfully communicative throughout the whole process, and she supplied so many extra touches to make my family feel welcome. Every bathroom had complimentary soaps, shampoo and conditioner, and there were ample towels. The kitchen contained all the needed items, and Nicole even left us a bag of ground, locally sourced coffee. The home is historic, and as such, the floors are somewhat uneven, and the rooms and beds are a bit small. Having the extra cottage with two full beds and another full bath helped the five of us to be comfortable, and not feel cramped. The outside lighting and deck really created a nice ambiance as well! I would definitely stay here again, if I am ever back in Edenton.

A Gem! This property has character and intentionality everywhere. I was so impressed with the details and the comfort the space offered. Such a short walk to the downtown; the Saturday Farmer’s Market is on the same block! Nichole checked in with us to be sure we had what we needed. I loved staying here!

3-G's Girl Weekend

Our trip to Edenton was prompted by my mother, Samantha. She had recently visited Edenton and wanted to share your lovely town with her girls! So we booked a Girl's Weekend to Edenton and the special part was that there were 3 Generations of girls ..... Grandma, 3 Daughters, and 3 Granddaughters between the ages of 82 - 27 !! It was a great time sharing memories and making new ones by visiting the Farmers Market, taking a Trolley Ride, and a boat ride with Captain Mark. Of course we shopped all the cute stores downtown too! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. It was perfect with all the amenities we could have wanted too. Thank you again, Cathy

Charming and convenient

We loved everything about our stay in Edenton, including this property. It is so charming and within walking distance of the downtown area. The owner was so helpful with detailed arrival and departure information, answered our questions quickly, and even let us know the day of arrival that the property was ready early if we wanted an earlier check in. The owners have done a great job at maintaining the character of the home while adding all the modern convenience you would want. Although we didn’t use it, the detached cottage was adorable and a great way to provide room for additional guests. I would definitely book this property again if I return to the area.

Relaxing long weekend in Edenton

Lovely historic home with nice amenities. We loved how close we were to downtown and enjoyed several local eateries. We also brought our dog along and she enjoyed the fenced in yard and walking through downtown. Edenton is within an hour to Manteo, NC so spent an afternoon there as well at the Elizabethan Gardens. Coast Guard Marathon Weekend

Came to Edenton for a quick weekend to run Coast Guard Marathon. Was pleasantly surprised by this really quaint beautiful historical town. We just loved Nicole’s house and cottage. Everything was exactly if not better than the photos on line. Checking in was perfect and the fenced in back yard was great for our 2 pups. She thought of everything in the house & property to make our stay perfect. From the little doggie towels to wipe their paws, the dog bowls, yoga mats, coffee bar with fresh coffee from local coffee shop. Loved the outdoor space and the Chiminea. We enjoyed having coffee out there on Saturday. The history of the home is displayed in the front hallway and the town is beautifully restored. The neighborhood is very very friendly and walkable. Visited the local farmers market and did some shopping on Main Street. Plenty of restaurant's and a beautiful local park on the water where we watched the sunset. I can’t say enough about this historical little town, it’s a gem and Nicole’s house is delightful. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your home.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi! I'm Nicole, owner of @CoastalNCStays

I love finding houses with character and a story. I aim to preserve what makes them special while adding modern touches and conveniences that guests will enjoy.

With two houses now, I'm excited to manage them under a fun brand that represents North Carolina's coastal charm and my love of hosting wonderful guests.

Why they chose this property

Though I grew up in NC, I've only recently discovered Edenton. But once I did, I fell in love with its rich history, small town charm, and its many options for fun. My husband and I found this historic house that had recently been renovated and knew its location and layout was perfect for guests to have the comforts of home and easily access all Edenton has to offer. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

The main house is a historic side hall layout with living, library/game room, and kitchen/dining spaces on the first floor (and a half bath) while two bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the second floor.

The large outdoor deck connects what we affectionately call the "cottage" to the main house. In the cottage is an additional two double beds, sitting space, smart TV, and full bathroom.

The two spaces together make for a great extended family or friends stay where some separation is appreciated some of the time. The cottage is also a great place for people with mobility limitations to stay with only a step up onto the deck is required to get there.
