We had a great stay! Everything was so clean and exactly as described. We did have issues trying to watch streaming services with the adapter setup, but overall it was a good experience.
House was clean. Paul was very receptive when we had a little trouble with the TV. Easy to find and parking was right at the door. We loved Edenton. So historic. Went on Trolley ride seeing historical home and a fun boat tour with Captain Mark. People are very friendly. Ate at Herringbone restaurant which was an ice house at one time right on the water. Would love to visit again.
Quaint, cozy, charismatic cottage close to beautiful historical town.

It was a pleasure hosting Susan and Davis in our Cottage. They were very accommodating with following Cottage guidance and upon departing left they the Cottage neat and tidy. Would always welcome them back to Edenton.
The location had easy access to everything we did in Edenton. The house was very peaceful and had comfortable seating. Everything was in bloom at this time of year and the gardens were beautiful.
Property was as advertised. Short drive to downtown and easy access. Would be nice to have a hook or something to hang clothes on in guest room, but not a big deal. Would stay there again
The property was adorable. The back garden was beautiful. Plenty of amenities and super close to everything.

It was a pleasure hosting Michael and Jane at the Cottage on the Inner Banks. They followed all Departing Procedures, and we would definitely Host Michael and Jane anytime that they are coming to Edenton.
This was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband's birthday. Edenton is a super cute, quaint little town, and this cottage was the perfect place to come back to each day to relax and unwind. It was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need to feel right at home. And the little garden out back is adorable! The hosts were a pleasure to work with, and the entire experience was easy breezy. It was the perfect little historic cottage for our historic weekend trip!
This was the perfect cottage for my best friend and I to stay on our first time weekend trip to Edenton. Very quaint, cozy and has an old fashioned beach charm to it. Very quiet and peaceful. We loved the side porch with the swinging bench. The cottage was located less than five minute drive from town (with absolutely NO traffic). Perfect place for two people.
Charming cottage reminiscent of the house I grew up in. Very nice updating, with many older features still intact. Edenton is an attractive town, and the cottage is well-located. Our hosts were very nice and have added a lot of sweet touches to this delightful place. We would return.

Gail and Ric we an absolute delight to have as guests. It was a pleasure to meet them during their stay. We also felt honored to have Gail as a guest for
her memorable Birthday. We would love to host them again if given the opportunity.
Communication was great and accommodating with easy access. The home was quaint and lovely for the two of us and a nice short drive to downtown Edenton. The only thing I may have misread in the listing was the sleeping set up. The bed was a bit small for the two of us- maybe a full size? and I typically like to have at least a queen if not a king. That wouid be my only suggestion - thankfully we had the extra twin daybed in the other room and had no problem splitting up for the night. Was an overall lovely stay and downtown Edenton is beautiful and filled with so many historic buildings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time
We lucked out with this property being two doors away from our son & family. It was a quiet area and easy come and go. The “greenery” behind the cottage was spectacular from the screened in porch. The bed was advertised on listing as a Queen, but it actually was a double bed -- a bit too small for us. The cottage has an Adirondack vibe in my eyes. I grew up in that area and the cottage reminded me of my youth and camps/cottages back home. The “smell” (a good smell😎) upon entering took me right back to Canada lake and that was a nice treat🌝.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Wouldn’t return
A lot was frustrating.owner was rude to my husband when we couldn’t find the key There was no wifi name as was listed in owners info. The VRBO text site wasn’t working so no communication with owner. Furniture on porch had thick layer of dust so we cleaned it Clocks were the wrong time There was a nice bottle of wine and we appreciated that.

Dear Vrbo,
We would like to begin this response by saying we do not believe in writing reviews on guests who are not, in the owners view, following the Cottage rules that are clearly outlined and left in plain view. We pride ourselves in preparation, cleanliness and responsiveness prior to any guest arriving and that includes corresponding. To address these matters, we disagree with every one of their complaints. Prior to Guests arriving we text on the VRBO site all pertinent information as it relates to Address, driveway location, Lock Box key location, Wi-Fi Password and instructions.
As Amanda's guest arrived, he came to our door and asked if we could help with finding the Lock Box which my wife accommodated his request without hesitation. As far as Amanda's concerns with Vrbo, this was not our problem. To address the dust concern on porch furniture, there wasn't any. Happy that Amanda and quest will not be returning for the following reasons that we consider the Cottage rules important to us as it relates to Cottage Safety and Security. Sorry to have to go (Tit for Tat) but, upon their departure we found all the furniture and lamps rearranged, all windows were left in the opened position with the heat set at 75degrees and the Main front storm and inside doors were left unlocked. Glad you enjoyed the wine.
Our hosts were so gracious and welcoming us for our 1 night stay, bringing snacks and checking in on us. The porch was perfect on our rainy May night. Would definitely recommend this cottage, so convenient to downtown Edenton.
