**PLEASE NOTE** The road in is on national forest and bumpy (out of our control to maintain) we do not recommend driving a sports car or sedan to a mountain cabin getaway, especially since we are at the end of the road. We can not guarantee "mother nature" with rain and/or snow and how the roads will be. Four-wheel drive, Subaru's, SUV's are fine! We do have the road plowed and the main roads will be plowed as needed by the county.

Beautiful place
This was such a nice weekend getaway with our friends. The cabin was so beautiful and perfect, it had everything you could think of and pet friendly too! What else can you ask for? The town is located close by and so many tasty restaurants in the area. Tara was very thorough with instructions and the directions to get here were easy to follow. I will definitely be back, and thank you so much for the donuts they were delicious!

Pure Magic
The photos dont do this retreat justice! You will be isolated on a large property with beautiful views. All the amenities of a home, in an adorable little A-frame. Weve spent time in about a dozen cabin rentals in these mountains and this is easily the best value for the price and all you get. The hosts are amazing and had an adorable little welcpme package waiting for us. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset is pure heaven. Make sure you keep this one in mind. Final 1/4 mile of dort road can be a little tough if you dont have a 4x4/suv and some decent ground clearance. We will be back 1000%.

Fantastic summer getaway spot
This was the perfect spot for a summer getaway to enjoy nature. The best view of the mountain and the cabin was so homey and comfortable. The hosts were also very welcoming and provide great tips on things to do. The local farmers market was so much fun and pikes peak was just a short drive away. Highly recommend this cabin as a place to stay.

We both have always enjoyed the outdoors. With one of us working in law enforcement and other as a civil engineer for over 30 years, we enjoy the Woodland Park getaway and time with our pups! Our lovely Mountain Ridge Cabin sits at about 9100' and is nestled on 31 acres among pines and aspens. It has a secluded feel while just 15 minutes from town. It's a wonderful mountain destination surrounded by spectacular scenery, wildlife, an area rich in history, and fun-filled activities for everyone. When we found the cabin in its previous condition, we knew it needed a little love to live its full glory. Sitting at 9100' and bordering Pikes National Forest, we're just a 15-minute drive into the center of town. Our goal was to create a space that you could either choose to escape the hustle and bustle of life and relax taking in the scenery around the property or have the perfect place to rest after a day of hiking, fishing, or enjoying one of the many off-road trails. Come stay at our little Mountain Ridge Cabin and enjoy a beautiful getaway! In the winter months you will need four-wheel drive to get to our cabin. Whether it's a romantic getaway or friends getting together, you'll find the comforts of this little getaway in the woods. The cabin sits at 9100' elevation with outstanding views of Pikes Peak!**NOTE: We did VRBO in Gunnison until our place sold. If you see the reviews or Superhost, that was previous to buying this cabin! Come and enjoy :) We are listed with Airbnb and have several reviews to see there! We love hosting and have been lucky enough to have had the best guests!

Why they chose this property

This is the perfect getaway from noise, people, and just simple relaxing! Our cabin is clean and has character for comfort. New hot tub with lounger sits on the large deck. You can enjoy the amazing views and wildlife! The views alone will make you not want to leave, along with all the outdoor activities to do. Great restaurants in Woodland Park and shops to explore, just a short 15 minute drive. Bring the toys and explore with 1000's of acres bordering Pikes National Forest. You'll find that the classic A frame style cabin built into the incline of the property. As you enter the front door, you access the kitchen, dining area, main floor bathroom, a cozy sitting area with two recliners and amazing views. A spiral staircase leads you up to the lofted bedroom, where you’ll find the comforts of a new queen Tempur-Pedic bed. The bathroom is on the main level, with a nice remodeled walk-in shower. You’ll find a weber gas grill on the back deck and a washer and dryer in the laundry room. Fully equipped kitchen and all new appliances! With all the wonderful things about our cabin and the location, it is a cabin in the mountains! Please understand the roads can be bumpy and a sedan or sports car is not recommended. Right before arriving at the cabin, there is about 200' of bumpy roads and if we have a rain storms, it might be a little rough but nothing bad if you go slow. Again, we just don't recommend driving a sports car or sedan. Thanks

What makes this property unique

This serene cabin is located in the forested peaks of the Rocky Mountains near Colorado's Pikes Peak. It's the perfect retreat for a couple, small family or small group of friends. Whether you want a quiet weekend with great views, you need a basecamp for a trip full of hiking, biking, archery practice or ATVing, or you're looking to fill a Colorado hunting tag or test out a faithful fishing rod, this is the perfect destination. It's cute, quaint, and small but perfect for the getaway with no close neighbors and a hot tub. A small bedroom downstairs or take the spiral staircase up to the loft with a queen size bed and views. Cozy up next to the woodstove in one of the two recliners after a day of hiking or riding. Perfect romantic getaway or bring the toys and ride all day! Privacy, comfort, and clean! Come out and BIKE ~ RIDE ~ RELAX!
