Because it was graduation weekend, all the hotels in the area had doubled their normal prices. I decided to try Vrbo for the first time and found this place. Having never used Vrbo before, I didn't know what to expect, but it was just what we needed. The price was reasonable, it isn't "brand new" but it is clean, spacious, has parking in the driveway, kitchen if you want to refrigerate leftovers, cook, etc. Comfortable king size bed w/foam mattress, 2 large closets and plenty of hangars. The tub faucets were a little tricky; at first I didn't think they worked, but you just use the middle knob; that would have been good to know ahead of time. I had a lot of questions and all were answered within a reasonable time. Good location, close to the highway. The only suggestion I would offer to the owner would be that one night we heard (maybe a child?) running back and forth upstairs. We had had a long day and were pretty tired, so we fell asleep right away, but it might have disturbed a light sleeper. I'm sure if I texted them, they would respond but we were okay with it. I would go there again.
Contact by the host lacked the address, it was “available early”, yet until 4 hours into availability and two attempts to obtain the address from host, Vrbo customer service was contacted and helped. Upon arrival the apt was quite warm (80 Fahrenheit), NO A/C, but a single fan that helped in the bedroom. The refrigerator was quite full of old items that were frozen (near empty Starbucks cups, water bottles, soda can that was split open due to freezing. The kitchen wall at the back of the stove was covered in food splatters, a pair of old sandals lay on the floor of the bathroom, the clothes hooks on the back of the bathroom door were broken off and unusable add to it the top sheet in the bed had a hair that could only be described as pubic in appearance. Add to it the less than quite pounding of small feet overhead until near 10 pm….this day was tough starting at 5am, so I could have slept in the car and truly wish I had.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! VRBO should be embarrassed by this basement dump and to add cleaning fees, for what?
This has been the first time I’ve been disappointed with a bnb. I have always left great reviews, this is by far the worst place I have ever seen. I spent thanksgiving weekend at this place and honestly I felt kind of dirty going to my parents house because of the cleanliness of this place. Stepping out of the shower felt like I walked into a dump. The smell was so bad. The rugs were disgusting. There were all types of hairs all over the bed and bathroom rugs. There were two power strips that everything was plugged into. So we blew a fuse and both our food and coffee stopped. There were mice/rats whatever, scurrying through the walls and trying to claw and or chew their way out all night. The guy was super unresponsive. I messaged and called multiple times to get the code for entry. It was to the point I was worried my family and I were not going to have the place to stay in for our trip. It was incredibly loud upstairs all night into the morning. We spent as little time there as we could.
