We had a wonderful weekend trip here- the house was very clean and true to lifting. Local hiking very close by and some good food options. Host was very quick to respond when needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay to check out the whole state

Great location to stay if you're wanting to check out Portland to Bar Harbor. We loved the hot tub and the access to the water with views of wildlife and stars. The haystack trail right across the street was a great start to the day as well.

Truly the feel of home

This property had everything a family would need for a great summer vacation with lots of great memories. Loved the summer porch with a view of the lake, the beds were cozy and so comfortable, and the house had a charm all its own. We loved it.

Sweet 16 birthday party. They did a nice job renovating the house from its previous state. The hot tub was nice.

The Lost Kitchen get away

My longtime girlfriends and I booked the cottage as it was within 20 minutes to The Lost Kitchen. We made a long weekend of the trip and were easily able to get to many out lying towns with in an hour or so. The cottage was newly remodeled, clean, and very cozy. It came with the cutest welcome basket and a guide of everything you would need for your stay!

A great weekend away!

The house is adorable, well appointed and comfortable. All the cottage charm and beauty, with all the modern conveniences. We had a fantastic time puttering around on the lake in the provided kayaks. The ping pong table on the enclosed porch got lots of use. Would highly recommend this rental to friends and family and would definitely stay again. The owners were also great at communicating and checked in on us to make sure everything was as it should be.

Gorgeous House, Gorgeous View

You could not ask for a more lovely space. Went to Liberty to see some friends, and this house is such a beautiful little gem. The renovated space is comfortable, functional, and welcoming. We managed to arrive just after a late March snowstorm so while we didn’t enjoy the lake, the hot tub was greatly appreciated. By far one of the nicest houses I have rented, and you will not find anything as nice as this in the area. Have recommended it to other friends and will definitely book again.

Lovely Liberty Lakefront

Easy house to have a nice time with friends. Very comfortable & well equipped, except for the kitchen, which could use more cooking & serving pieces. But the basics provided were good. We were four people for a few days and I wouldn’t have more due to the lack of a second toilet. Note a neighbor has a bunch of chickens & that’s what you hear, rather than the loons. Otherwise plenty nearby to do, see, and eat, and of course, the lake.

Absolutely wonderful

This house is a dream. You can tell that a lot of thought and love have gone into making this a comfortable house for guests. We spent our days down on the dock enjoying the boats and swimming in the lake, grilling dinner and using the hot tub. With little kids I especially appreciated the amount of towels available to us. Also the AC was wonderful on the hot days. The only cons of this property were that -the only bathroom is upstairs, -that the stairs are very steep and my kids needed help going up and down and constant supervision around the stairs -and that the road is quite hazardous as it’s not busy but people are driving fast on it.

tech abode amongst fir trees

As a 40 year renter of Maine camps, this home was beyond any place we had stayed in. Everything was top grade and plentiful. Amenities galore. Our less than perfect ratings had to do with our previous experiences. This home is not a Maine cabin experience. Situated on "Main Street," across from an elementary school and on a very active road, our typical bucolic, woodsy experience was a distant memory. However, sitting on the back porch, most of the activity up front was muffled. Spencer was very responsive.

This is a well located property on a beautiful lake. You are close to Belfast, Camden, Rockport (my two favorite resturants: Nina June and 18 Central Oyster Bar) and of course Bar Harbor is not far. And if you happen to be staying in Liberty over a Friday, make a reservation at Lake St George Brewery for trivia night. It's a very fun experience. The one down side (other than the very step stairs with narrow treads) is only one bathroom. We would have appreciate a half bath downstairs.But the house is comfortable and well appointed. And we were thrilled that we got to see some amazing fireworks on the 4th of July. Folks on the lake went all out buying and firing off their fireworks. Almost an hour of a beautiful sky. Have fun!!!!

Everything was great! The only minor thing we’d note from our stay was the hosts were very unresponsive to us and the house was very old. My boyfriend is 6’3 and had to duck to shower. I’m 5’9 and that was cutting it really close, but aside from those two things we had a great stay!
