Great stay at this super cute and comfy home. It was a quiet, safe place with everything we needed!! The owner's art is a really nice additional touch and we so appreciated that it was pet-friendly!
This was a repeat stay in the Art House. It is a very pleasant place. As we were getting there the last night, a friendly neighbor who was walking her dog stopped to chat. Nice neighborhood.
We had a good time staying at Michael’s home. Very clean and convenient to everything we needed. He was very responsive with all of my questions. Thanks for having us would definitely book again.
This was a cute house lacated on a quite street near shops, malls, food and much more. House was clean and had all needed supplies along with a few unique things like an Alexa that could control a few items in the house, like the cute light up cactus. Will definitely be back again.
Everything was lovely. The artwork is vibrant and eclectic. We hope to stay again in the near future. Thank you for everything Michael!

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
This place was put together on the cheap. Things falling off of the walls or falling over every day. Refrigerator looks like it’s straight out of 1980s. One bedroom tv didn’t work. In the other bedroom the vent didn’t blow enough so we had to put the air way down to make it bearable in there. This caused the rest of the house freezing. Pet friendly but no backyard. Front yard filled with huge weeds. We were there for 3 weeks and no one ever came to take care of it. We were embarrassed when friends & family came by. I could go on. I have pictures. We were supposed to be renting a cute little place but got a problems instead!

Cathy, we are disappointed to read this review, particularly because none of these concerns were raised during the majority of your three-week stay. The timing of these complaints only arose after your request for a late checkout could not be accommodated, despite our team providing a clear explanation that our cleaning schedule and incoming reservations made an extension impossible.
Throughout your stay, our team remained responsive and available to address any concerns. Had issues such as a non-functioning TV, airflow concerns, or maintenance items been reported, we would have gladly worked to resolve them. Instead, these complaints were largely introduced after checkout discussions, accompanied by threats to contact neighbors and publicly criticize the property because your late checkout request could not be granted.
You remained in the home for three weeks and never indicated that the property was unsuitable for your stay. If the issues described had genuinely impacted your experience to the extent claimed, we would have expected them to be reported while there was still an opportunity to address them.
The home is accurately represented in our listing, including its outdoor areas. Landscaping is maintained on a regular schedule, and the appliances and furnishings shown in the listing photos are the same items provided in the home.
We welcome fair and constructive feedback. However, we do not believe it is reasonable to withhold a lengthy list of complaints until after
Charming spacious cottage on beautiful tree lined street. Make time during your visit to relax and enjoy this peaceful, cozy home. Arthouse felt like home! The beautiful art pieces were irresistible and I purchased two stunning prints to bring home. The host was on point with responding to any questions I had. Convenient location. Close to Old Town and Midtown. Right off the 80. Lots of excellent local eats too! I extended my stay two days. I could have stayed another week!
The Art House was a very comfortable place to stay.
Well equipped and organized. The art gives it a more homey welcoming feel.
The neighborhood was quaint and quiet, easily accessible to other parts of Sacramento.
Michael communicated well and checked in to make sure we were comfortable. I left and item at the house and he was willing to mail it to me. That is appreciated and indicative of his hosting skills. Would definitely stay again.
Art house was cozy and cute and communication was good. The listing states there are four beds available, but there was not adequate bedding for the 2 couch beds in the living room, and we could not find towels inside the house for 4 quests. The towels and sheets could be located in a closet in the garage. A little bit of a hassle, but not a huge deal. Overall we could stay here again and enjoyed our time!
Our stay was relatively uneventful. Nice location in a quiet residential neighborhood that was convenient to parks, restaurants, and markets. Very easy to get into town, although construction on 50 was problematic. The house was part of a duplex but there was never any issues with the neighbors in the other unit. The art work on display was very interesting and a nice touch. The provided cutlery, dishes, and cooking utensils were adequate for our needs. The rooms were good size and the beds were very comfortable. Internet access was great and we enjoyed access to the Amazon Firestick attached to the TVs.
We suggest the owner consider taping down the carpet in the living room as it was a trip hazard. The stairs into the garage where the laundry is are not that safe and need a railing or something to make access safer. It would also help if more towels were available.
