Days spent gazing at the view, snorkeling and swimming. It does not get any better than this for us. House is very well equipped, but keep in mind this is on an island so no stores. Owner indicates need to bring all food and drink so do. Beach club is a short dinghy ride away for lunch, dinner (get reservations), or drinks. We’ll be back.
We spent a delightful week at Quart-a-Nancy Point and absolutely loved the house, view, and easy access to the water (but note that if you are mobility challenged this would not be the place for you -- it;s a short but steep walk down to the water). Highlights include the stunning panoramic view from the porch, well-equipped kitchen, and generous amenities (snorkel gear, kayak, dinghy, games, and books). Despite recovering damage to the near-shore coral from recent hurricanes, we saw turtles, eagle- and stingrays, barracuda, sharks, octopus, and many fish. We had some logistical challenges in terms of transportation and provisioning that were undoubtedly due to our lack of familiarity with the BVI and Cooper Island - we strongly advise making arrangements for both well in advance, and provisioning generously for your time there. We ended up enjoying quite a few meals at the Cooper Island Beach Club, which were very nice (if a mite pricey). We also found the CIBC staff to be generous and helpful with advice and contact information. Many thanks to Fred and his family for sharing their wonderful house with us - we hope to be back one day!

Why they chose this property
After several bareboat sailing charters in the BVI, we decided that an island-based vacation home was what we really needed. We chose Quart-A-Nancy Point at Cooper Island in the British Virgin Islands because it's that 'deserted' island everyone dreams about. It's far enough away from things to feel secluded, but close enough that you can drop by the bar for a drink or dinner or go to town on Tortola via boat if you want. We've made sure the house has all of the amenities expected so that we (you) aren't roughing it (though you could choose not to use things like wireless internet if you want to truly get away).
What makes this property unique
Located at the north end of Manchioneel Bay, Quart-A-Nancy Point, Cooper Island is island living the way it used to be - simple and serene. The views from the front porch are unparalleled and will make you never want to leave.
