Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.

Very nice place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: October is a great time to stay as there are few people around. Enjoy driving the golf cart instead of my car. However for us 3 days is enough since all there is to do is walk the beach, swim in the pool or relax in the condo. The one restaurant is very good, otherwise you will have to take the ferry and drive about 15 minutes to other restaurants in the Englewood area.you receive one free ferry ride per day. This is our third year staying here and will come back again.

Furniture and rooms were okay except one broken table which was found in the closet. had 1 bdr so bedrm was very bright from outside light. W.D. very noisy so maint fixed it.

Starting with a warm greeting by bell staff and front desk, we felt right at home on Palm Island. Our villa was spotless with every household item supplied to feel right at home. Direct beach access was right outside the unit and we felt like we had our own private piece of paradise. We are already planning a return visit for the fall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved Palm Island. When they check you in they say welcome to paradise and it is so true. If you are looking for a quiet place with plenty of activities for your family then this is your place. Lots of wildlife to experience. The beach is so peaceful. White sand and crystal clear water. The condo was nice. A bit smelly but I imagine that will be resolved after pointing it out to concierge.

Unprepared to What to Expect

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No doubt Plam Island is both an enjoyable experience and also one the traveler needs to be better prepared to what to expect. We travel from California to attend a friend's wedding (on the beach) recently. What we didn't expect was the challenge of flying cross country and getting a rental car and then driving to get to the barge by a certain cut off time in order to get to the island by 10:00 PM to secure our room. We also didn't know the rental office closes at 8:00 PM and the phone #s provided after that time to reach a real person just go to voice mail. That we didn't know and it caused incredible stress to reach the barge before the last one left for the night. The resort has to do a better job of having a "plan B" for guests who miss these deadlines thru no fault of their own. So for the logistics of the resort, of what to expect, what to know, what to take ( there is no food availeble on the island if you arrive late) the grade is D+ However, once you get there and settle in the experience is a good one. A good place to unwind, read a novel or even write one. So to the traveler who comes expecting a "full resort experience" beware. For the traveler knowing what to expect "enjoy."

Had a wonderful time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was immaculate and beautiful. The view of the Gulf was great. The king size bed is pretty hard but some folks like it that way. All of our needs were met and exceeded. We will be coming back. The property was incredible and we thought we would never to be able to afford such a nice place and although it was not inexpensive, it was affordable for us. The golf carts made it so much fun too.

Our 30 Year Anniversary Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been coming to Palm Island for about 15 years now. Since the kids "grew up" and their grandparents have "moved on" (who used to come too), we have made Palm Island our annual November Wedding Anniversary trip for quite a few years now, and we added an extra day for this trip and stayed 5. The weather was absolutely awesome - not too hot, not too cool, just right. And even though the fishing was not good due to recent and slightly lingering red tide, we had a great time. Unit 3221 which we had never stayed in before was super nice - wanted for absolutely nothing. Can't wait till next November to come back (if not sooner).

Reviewer Comments: our villa was very nice and clean, enjoyed Rum Bay restaurant, felt like we had a private beach. enjoyed the wildlife boat charter, exercising in the weight room, and biking around the resort. Golf cart rental was great (it was included in our rental package) took a cart ride every evening, watched the sun set over the gulf. I highly recommend Palm Island Resort if you are looking for a laid back relaxing vacation.

Since it was just the two of us we rented a 1-bedroom gulf view and were extremely happy with our choice. Aside from the wonderful weather and ambiance of the island, the staff was pleasant and very helpful and the accommodations were everything we needed.

The staff was very helpful and cheerful. The only bad experience was the hard mattress on the bed.

DON'T SPEND THE $$ ON THIS PLACE!!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we checked in, the clerk did not give us any information about where our condo was located. Since the numbers on the building do NOT correspond at ALL to the unit numbers, we drove around on the golf cart for a half hour trying to figure out where our unit was located. Additionally, the bell hops are lazy and do nothing. Even the young gal working in the gift shop was extremely rude. Although we were clearly ready to be helped and waiting at the checkout counter, she walked away from us to go unlock the cigar case and wait on an EMPLOYEE who had just walked into the shop!!! She chatted with him, and completed his transaction before turning to us and without a word, a smile, or an acknowledgement, waited on us. Food in the restaurant was good but service was HORRIBLY SLOW! Condo was great! This was our second time here, but we WON'T GO BACK!!!
