We had a lovely time at the Carriage House Cottage. The place was charming, clean and was equipped with everything we needed. Our dogs loved the little yard. We would definitely stay here again.
We spent just 2 nights there. We arrived late afternoon, dropped our bags and immediately went out to meet up with an old friend who lives nearby. So, we didn't have time to enjoy the quiet-time the property offered. It's large and spacious with a full, clean kitchen. A large comfortable bed, with a second bed if needed. There's a beautiful covered hot tub just out the front door. It's a great choice, and the owners were lovely people.
26 May 2026, My husband, dog and I enjoyed 1 night stay in Carriage House. Very cute and charming, kitchen well stocked and enjoyed the hot tub, with cocktails on patio with morning coffee on patio too. We took a couple long walks with our dog down to historic downtown, about 4 blocks away and found a great dinner spot and walked back exploring the trails of the giant Ditch, along with finding a great bakery the next morning. Easy parking and easy access to the house. Would definitely stay again; especially welcoming when traveling with a dog, thank you!! Lori
The CHC is a delightful place to stay. It is simultaneously warm and cozy, and open and bright. Tricia clearly does a lot in adding the personal touches to make CHC feel like home. It is very clean and welcoming.
Had a very enjoyable stay in Silver City at Tricia’s Carriage House Cottage. The cottage is well appointed with everything you need for a quiet, relaxing stay. It is close to everything in downtown Silver City. You can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and galleries.
The property was exceedingly well located and roomy and clean. It was dog friendly as advertised with a bit of a yard. All really perfect for what we wanted.
Property is very clean and is in walking distance to downtown area. Our host was friendly and accommodating! Property is nicely furnished and comfortable. Neighborhood was fun to walk with my dog as there were so many 19th century homes to marvel at. We would definitely like to come back!
The property was very pet friendly. The only downside was the grass to take the puppies to potty had a little bars in it that got in their fur really bad
The cottage was great. The location is close to historic downtown area. It was very quiet and the furniture was comfortable. We did not use the hot tub but appreciated that it was there if we wanted to use it.The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking.Check in and check out was easy and straight forward.
Great location! Clean and enough space for 3. Hot tub was perfect after hiking. Communication and responsiveness was great! Would stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Tricia Reynolds
My name is Tricia Reynolds and together with my husband Jim and our three children we live in a historic old home in Silver City, NM. This home, the David Abraham House, has been in Jim's family since 1962. I have always had a gift for hospitality and love having people stay and meeting new people. When Carriage House Cottage was no longer needed by my husband's father, we decided to turn it into a vacation rental - and I found my vocation. Having traveled a lot, I am able to relate on many levels with most of our guests. We are friendly and caring to our guests, and go out of our way to make your stay with us a memorable one.
Why they chose this property
We inherited the home we live in and Carriage House Cottage (formerly a carriage house) came with the property. Having said that, we choose to live in the older, historic part of Silver City because we love the location and would have chosen a property here had \we been in the market.
What makes this property unique
It is quiet and peaceful here and fairly secluded. It is also a convenient distance to where the 'action' is in downtown Silver City. Most guest park their vehicles and walk most places. We enjoy walking in this neighborhood and seeing the older, historic homes that predominate the area.
