About this property

Designer Home in the Middle of Wine Country is BACK!

This adorable Cape Cod home is one mile north of the shores of Lake Erie, complete with a guarded beach, playgrounds and picnic tables for shaded family picnics.

It is in the center of Lake Erie Wine Country Trail with 23 current wineries as well as Craft Brewing and Farm Distilling sites growing in numbers. Although it is from 2020, you can still check out this brochure to plan your wine tours. Limo services available in the area. https://www.lakeeriewinecountry.org/assets/documents/LEWC-Brochure_2020.pdf

Plenty of options for day trips from Niagara Falls, Presque Isle State Park and peninsula, Jamestown, NY (Home Of Lucille Ball) as well as The Chatauqua Institute, Lake Chatauqua and Lily Dale, NY. All fun day trips!

We are located on the perimeter of the quaint little historic town of North East. The church on the corner rings bells each hour on the hour. Established in 1794, they have done an excellent job featuring many of the historic features including a square in the center of town complete with statue and fountain. The square is a sweet little area with a Farmer's Market on Saturday morning, with live concerts and kid friendly events all summer long.

There are modern restaurants, coffee shops and Bella Day Salon and Spa host excellent massages in a Victorian elegant mansion. Antique stores salt and pepper the whole community. There are local groceries and everything you need if you want to stay close to home.

It's great for families or a girl's weekend get-away. The home has a king size master with 400 thread Pottery Barn sheets, as well as a brand new up-scale master bath with large walk in shower. Fantastically fitted kitchen complete with all new appliances, farm sink and adorable sitting area. A well suited screened in breezeway is nice for an afternoon read or just a different area to get away. There is another bedroom downstairs with a twin day bed and twin trundle tucked neatly under the bed. Upstairs is a landing for children's play including books and a few games for entertainment. The upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds with plenty of room if two families wanted to share the expense. There is a bedroom vignette in the basement with a king size bed fitted with the same Pottery Barn sheets and feather pillows as upstairs, night stands, dresser and TV. The basement is unfinished but freshly painted and impeccably clean. There is also a baby gate, high chair and pak 'n play on site for those of you with little ones.

The backyard is fitted with a natural gas grill (just turn it on), separate sitting area and dining table for six with umbrella. There is a new fire pit in the back yard complete with firewood, just waiting for you to toast those marshmallows for your S'mores.

Our home has zoned Central Air Conditioning, Wi Fi, Smart TV’s and many luxury touches not found in most Vacation Rental properties.

(NOTE)
We have a ramp on the front of the home for wheel chair access but the home is NOT ADA approved. There are two bathrooms on first floor but the door openings are only 30". Our wheel chair bound friend is able to use the restroom but she manages by holding on to the sink for stability. I don't want to give the impression this is handicap friendly as there are not grab bars in the the tubs or any other special provisions.

Charming home, excellent location
This North East home was well appointed and clean. The kitchen had loads of cookware and commercial grade appliances. Lots of room for our 4 adults. The upstairs room had a terrific play area stocked with toys and games, if we had a grandchild along he would have loved it. Beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. We had cold rainy weather most of the week so we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor furniture and backyard, but it was attractive and the yard was spacious. We drove to Erie twice, about 25 minutes by car. Maritime Museum was fascinating and Presque Isle park and Visitor center were must-dos. Don’t miss dinner at the Skunk and Goat in North East, 3 minutes away. We loved our stay and would definitely rent again.

Perfect spot for a getaway in wine country!
Our group of 6 travaled to North East so the ladies could winery-hop, and the guys could fish, and this home was the perfect place. It's super homey and had plenty of bed space for the three couples. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the living room area was modern and cozy. You also can't beat the fact that there are at least 3 wineries within a mile of the house! We accidently set off the in-home alarm system, and were grateful when our host responded quickly to resolve. Overall, everyone enjoyed their stay, and we'd absolutely return again.

Perfect property
Stayed here with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law for a long weekend to attend a wedding. The home doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is fantastic inside. Beautiful remodel, tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture and plenty of space for a family or singles. The master suite is particularly nice, lots of closet space and well appointed. I highly recommend this property and would definitely rent again in the future. We had a great stay.

My family has lived in Erie for almost a decade, and we would love to have you come here as well! I love the cold climate, but the lake effect makes the winters here more tolerable.

Why they chose this property

This property is top notch. Everything is above average in quality and comfort. We love to cook and enjoy the outdoors. The wine tours are excellent and there is some great dining and neighborhood pizza places as well.

What makes this property unique

Designer grade furniture, firm beds, top of the line appliances, brand new and cleanliness beyond.
