This unique setting, with 150 feet of private waterfront, offers expansive views framed by mature, towering trees and natural surroundings. With light boat traffic and no tubing congestion, this part of the river feels more private, relaxed, and settled. This calm, open atmosphere is truly unique to waterfront properties in this area.


Weddings at River Haven

River Haven has been hosting micro weddings, vow renewals, and anniversary celebrations for over 20 years, and we would love to welcome yours too. This is a private vacation rental, not a professional event venue, and every celebration must fit within our maximum occupancy of 32 guests total, including the couple, the wedding party, and all visitors. Children age five and under and vendors providing services do not count toward that number.

If you are picturing an event with 100+ guests, this property will not be the right fit. Our layout, parking, and septic system, along with our property insurance policy, are all built around a 32 person cap, and that limit cannot be exceeded, even with outside event insurance.

For couples planning an intimate riverside celebration within that guest count, there is no additional fee. The nightly rate already covers hosting an event at full capacity. You are welcome to reach out in advance to talk through your plans, and any special requests we approve are honored at no extra charge.

A few practical notes for wedding, vow renewal, and anniversary planning:

Tents are welcome on the property, and local rental companies can deliver and set up your tables, chairs, tents, and other decor, so you would not need to bring your own seating.
After booking, you will receive a planning guide with local vendor recommendations, including caterers, table and chair rental companies, florists, bakeries, and photographers that past River Haven couples have used successfully.
The backyard, pier, and fire pit areas are popular spots for ceremonies and celebrations, and the property's lighting was designed to give evenings a resort like feel once the sun goes down.

Accommodations

The property features 11 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and 3 kitchens across a Main House and a Guest House, comfortably accommodating up to 32 guests. Sleeping arrangements include beds for 28 guests along with futons for 6, offering plenty of flexibility for large groups.

In total there are 8 king beds, 5 queen beds, 1 double bed, and 3 futons, making it easy to host families, multi-generational gatherings, or groups of friends while ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to stay.

Amenities

Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the home along with Hulu Live TV that includes all the major sports channels. Entertainment options feature an indoor and outdoor speaker system, a 65-inch 4K TV in the main living room, a 60" HD TV in the kitchen, and a 100-inch HD projector screen in the Guest House, with TVs also available in five of the bedrooms.

The Main House offers a spacious kitchen, dining, and living area that is perfect for gathering together. The Guest House provides additional bedrooms and bathrooms as well as its own small kitchen for added convenience.


Main Kitchen

The fully stocked main kitchen includes all the pots, pans, kitchenware, cutlery, glassware, plates, and bowls needed to prepare and serve large meals for big groups. For outdoor cooking, a large four-burner gas BBQ griddle with two propane tanks is provided.

River Haven was extensively renovated to blend indoor and outdoor living. Floor-to-ceiling glass, an open kitchen flowing into the dining and living areas, and large sliding doors onto a wraparound deck create a seamless gathering area, ideal for large groups using the kitchen, dining area, living room, grill, and deck at the same time.

River Haven is event-friendly at no additional fee, and has hosted everything from family reunions to milestone celebrations and retreats. The layout comfortably supports large groups spreading out across indoor and outdoor spaces while staying connected.


The Backyard

The River Haven features 150 feet of private waterfront with a spacious backyard that's perfect for reunions, celebrations, retreats, and micro weddings. Step outside to enjoy direct water access from a 70 foot illuminated pier, outfitted with seating, umbrellas, a built in swim ladder and a large floating swim mat, always a guest favorite and especially loved by kids, along with a classic tetherball setup in the yard.


The Pier After Dark

High-intensity underwater lights near the pier illuminate the water after dark, drawing guests down to watch the fish below. Visible from the deck and main living areas, it's become a nighttime favorite for anglers and casual watchers alike.


After Sunset

At night, River Haven takes on an entirely different atmosphere. Layered, indirect lighting throughout the yard, trees, deck, fire pit, and pier creates a warm, resort-like setting without losing the view. Many guests say evenings are when River Haven truly comes to life.


For the Music and Sports Lovers

Music or television audio from inside continues seamlessly outdoors, so guests can listen to the game or music while grilling or relaxing on the deck. With minimal nearby neighbors, there's no need to worry about disturbing anyone.


Fire Pit Experience

Evenings are best spent around the large circular fire pit, glowing under café lighting and surrounded by ample seating. Firewood is provided for one fire per group, and you are welcome to bring more if desired. Don't forget the s'mores!


Parking Options

Between the main house horseshoe driveway and the Guest House driveway, guests have comfortably fit 12+ vehicles, depending on size.

Directly across from River Haven is a large overflow parking area that makes arriving with boats, jet skis, or trailers much easier, without the usual back-and-forth of rearranging vehicles in the driveway. It can also accommodate RV parking, though there are no RV hookups on the property.


Watercraft Rentals & Ramp Details

Local watercraft rental companies can deliver jet skis, pontoons, or boats directly to the house, provide operating guidance, and escort guests to the nearby public boat ramp.

A Note on Layout

A few bedrooms share access points worth knowing in advance. In the Main House, Bedrooms 5 and 6 each have their own exterior exit doors. The only time guests in those rooms would pass through Bedroom 4 or Bedroom 7 is to access the shared interior bathroom. In the Guest House, Bedrooms 8 and 9 share one full bathroom, and Bedrooms 10 and 11 share another. Guests in Bedrooms 10 and 11 may pass through Bedroom 9 to exit the Guest House, though Bedroom 10 also has its own exit door.
