Cute cabin with plenty of space for our family of 4. The area is beautiful. While we didn't use the hot tub, we did enjoy a couple evenings around the firepit. Town is about a 10 min drive with lots of restaurants. Would stay again.
Absolutely love this cabin! Super clean, beautiful place. Communication with the host was amazing and super fast response. Will be booking it again in the future! I highly recommend this one!

Property was extremely clean and accommodating. Hot tub was amazing! Close to all the parks we wanted to visit.
A great property for our Sisters' trip. Property was very clean and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch.Owners were great making sure we were enjoying our stay.
It’s a great location for exploring the Monongahela National Forest, Elkins, and surrounding areas. The setting is beautiful, with the river running very near the cabin. The hosts were responsive. Check-in couldn’t have been easier. The cabin was a little more worn than the impression I got from the photos. That’s probably just the nature of the photos. I don’t think it was intentional. I was a bit surprised when we arrived. The overhead lighting in the main living area seemed dim. The kitchen is well appointed with the basics. Overall, it suited our needs well.
Amazing attentiveness and communication from the moment I booked. The cabin was clean and exactly what we expected. Deck area was even cleared of snow during our stay. We will definitely be back!
A cute cozy cabin. Just what we needed to relax and get away. we really enjoyed the peaceful setting and hot tub. The hosts were quick to respond to question
This was a very low key and relaxing place to stay. There weren't a lot of rules for clean-up that made it feel like you were doing something wrong. Very simple - keep your bed unmade and put your towels on the floor and close the windows. The owner was responsive and kind. Nice cottage feel to the place. We would stay time and time again.

Take this review with a grain of salt as I was not there to enjoy nature but on a work trip. Although I could not explore all the area has to offer I thought coming back after work to a waterfront cabin sounded lovely. Unfortunately, the cabin is not water front nor the water accessible from the cabin. You can see the river across the street, to access it, you must walk down the road, across a bridge and down a hill. Little too many bugs inside and out for me and not just mosquitoes and things you would assume. Hot tub was immaculate. Had a couple concerns upon arrival with door locks, hot tub and remotes which host immediately responded to and sent someone to fix.

Hi Diana, yes this is pretty much river front. It's not on the beach of the river, but there is a very short walk down to it and super easy access. Our whole property is called river front resort, and out of a few hundred guests we've hosted this is the first time anyone has told us that it's not river front. You can walk across the street and see the river below you.
You also say the water is not accessible from the cabin, I really am just not sure what you mean by accessible. People book this place many times because of its proximity to the water and how easy it is to access the river, so I'm sorry you felt that it wasn't.

Cabin Life
Had a wonderful stay at Waterside Haven. The home was a extremely clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed during our stay. When we had questions in regards to the hot tub, they were very responsive and quick to send somebody to check on it. The hot tub is amazing. It is so clean. A great place to relax and watch the stars at night. The location is perfect for outdoor hiking and fishing, yet a quick ride in to town for restaurants and bars. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to coming back!
Everything was clean and functional. The location was what we were looking for (proximity to Shavers Fork and Mon Nat Forest). It’s not super fancy, but it was cozy and that’s all we wanted. We especially enjoyed the deck with the hot tub and fire pit. We saw eagles and wildflowers from our comfy deck chairs. Also, the hosts were very communicative and flexible. I appreciated the keyless entry and the easy check out process without a million cleaning tasks
