And you will want to stay. For a while :-) Enjoy exceptional comfort of this house.
Every detail of interior was created with thoughts of You, our guests, our friends and our family. To give you unforgettable experience. Exceptional Interior Design , Comfortable Couches, Inviting Dining Table ,Wrap around Terrace , Fireplace and Fire Pit. Lots of Sunlight and Air. Crispy Clean Air.

“Shohola “ is a word from Lenni Lanape tribe of Native Americans means “ place of peace “ and it means different things to different people. For one, it is a solitude and sounds of nature . For another, quality time with friends and family. Whatever you are missing and looking for you can find it here, at Shohola Cottage.
Cuddle up with a blanket and hot drink , watching the fire place. Choose one of many trails for hiking through the woods to mountain tops and waterfalls. Go skiing or experience archery. Visit nearby farms and unique antique shops. Try local restaurants or pick a bottle of wine for the evening barbecue.
Our spacious wrap around Porch Itself is worth of a trip! Beautiful views of the forest inviting for long conversations. Or perhaps relaxing yoga practices.
We can arrange a private yoga teacher, or you can stream a class of your choice.
Also you can book a session with professional massage therapist who will come to the house.

House is Your Home while you stay there. Please respect the space and it will share its happiness with you :-)
Other things to note
Please feel free to bring fire wood for the fire place or a Fire pit ( plenty of wood for a pit is in forest you are In :-) as well )
Our suggestion is Duraflame / EnviroLog logs. Very easy to use , each log will produce fire for many hours . No need to chop ( as any regular wood logs ). Super easy to start . And as regular fire wood , eco logs You can pick up in any grocery store , gas station Whole Foods market , even Target .

We allow up to 2 pups to the property with advance notice and flat $50 pet fee

Sholola cottage

Sholola cottage is a modern house with everything you need, Olya the host is an excellent host and keeps her place well maintained and cleaned and has a beautiful sauna, a nice living area, dining area and kitchen with a nice size deck to enjoy. Overall I would recommend her place and would stay here again.

A few surprises

We liked the place it was relaxing. However we dont know when it happened, but we werent notified til a day or 2 before arrival that the sauna had been destroyed.due to a storm. Also bring socks or slippers as there are signs upon arrival of no shoes allowed in house.

Pocono Wedding

Isolated, so it provided a quiet setting. Wi-Fi worked well. Floors creaked on the second level but did not disrupt our 15 month old grandchild. Nice decking and screen room. A lot of instructions for living in the space. Good HVAC and water systems. Was close to our event so travel time was ~ 15 minutes one way. Kitchen was adequately provided. Bring your own Keurig because there is only a drip style coffee pot. Pet friendly so bring a leash unless anmal is well trained.
