Newly built two bedroom cottage with enormous decks overlooking Cayuga Lake and views of Cornell. Watch local rowing teams pass by while sipping coffee. 130 ft of private lakefront. Kayaks, SUPs, and life jackets provided. Bring your boat, dock is new. Cottage has all modern amenities: professional stove, washer/dryer, flatscreen TVs, Mitsubishi aircon, Blackstone outdoor grill. New hot tub! One mile from Ithaca’s Cass Park. Bring your bikes, we are across from Black Diamond Trail access points. Near Taughannock State Park, and dozens of area waterfalls. Very close to downtown. Easy parking on private driveway for 2-4 cars.

Sleeping spaces include: queen bed in the primary bedroom (2 persons), and secondary bedroom with queen bed (2 persons), plus bunk (single) and loft bed (single) accessible by ladder.

On private driveway shared with 3 other private properties.

Great host and great location! My wife and i drove to the fingerlake region for a much needed vacation and we wanted a lake front view. Wow. This location delivered. We had front row seats to the cornell crew team most evenings and the fall weather provided us amazing colors reflecting off the lake.The location was a great kick off to the many state parks and easy access to the black diamond trail. Wegmans supplied us with good fish most evenings and the kitchen at the cottage is perfectand the many terrific local restaurants kept us happy. Thank you Chris for hosting us. A really nice week recharging!

Great location & great amenities

The property is beautiful and has everything you need for a lake getaway. In addition to the brand new interior and perfect stay accommodations, we loved the large deck, bbq, hot tub, and areas to relax. We really appreciated having access to canoes, SUPs, water floats as well as life vests for everyone in the family. The house location was great with a short drive into Ithaca for restaurants and access to groceries, etc.

Loved it!

We stayed here while on a family vacation visiting Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region. The house is super clean and nice (basically brand new), private, and in a great location (<10 minutes from Ithaca). All bedding/pillows/towels are good quality. There's a stairway from the back deck down to the waterfront and we enjoyed swimming and kayaking (with the provided kayaks and stand up paddleboards). We also enjoyed the hot tub (new and clean), and just taking in the view! There are good hiking trails with waterfalls in the area, and also good places for meals in Ithaca. Ithaca Bakery was a frequent stop for breakfast/lunch, and The Boatyard Grill was our favorite for dinner (here's a tip: they don't take "reservations" but if you call after 3PM they take "call aheads" for a specific time that night, though we ended up waiting 20 minutes even with that). We loved the house and the area and would stay here again!

This home had everything you need to enjoy a great vacation. First of all the kitchen, unlike most vacation rentals, had everything you needed and it was not just cheap stuff like other places. In fact we cooked one meal there and then the second night we decided to cook again instead of go out to eat because it was great to cook on the grill while looking out at the lake, preparing the meal in the kitchen while looking out the big windows to the lake, and then enjoying the meal on the deck in the peace and quiet. I absolutely loved using the kayaks they provided and it was close to some amazing waterfalls and gorges. Town is close enough if you need groceries or want to go out. We discovered the biking trail across the street the last day and had a great time riding along the trail in the fall leaves. This home was very clean and comfortable. We lived the privacy of the hot tub. I can not say enough good about it.

Great Lake vacation spot

The lake house was excellent. The decks were great with views of Cayuga Lake. We went swimming off the dock every day and took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards. We would absolutely stay there again.

Clean, Newly Renovated, Beautiful Spot!

We spent 4 nights here for our daughter's Cornell graduation. The space was very comfortable for me, my husband, and our (adult) son. (There are two additional twin beds available in the house as well, but they are in a loft area accessible by a straight ladder -- probably only realistic for a nimble youngster.) This house is beautifully equipped with all the things that you need for a multi-day stay, including basic kitchen equipment, a Blackstone grill (which is like a huge griddle), and a big hot tub. We were able to cook dinner in several nights, avoiding the "graduation crowds" in town. Honestly, the view from the porch is better than any restaurant. We had a very rainy weekend but this was still a great place to stay. The sun came out on our last day and we saw just how amazing a nice weekend might have been. Given the bad weather, we didn't get to explore the lake on the kayaks but they were available! The hosts Chris and Ellie are extremely responsive and attended to our every need. Chris even came and blew off the deck and chairs twice after big rainstorms. If I have need to be in Ithaca again, I will definitely return to this VRBO! A.

Winter Weekend

This house is lovely. It’s super cozy and was perfect for a winter weekend on the lake. Amazing lake views. Fireplace was perfect and the hot tub was fun in the snow. Everything in the house is done very nicely. Everything is super clean. View from master bedroom is incredible. Hosts are extremely communicative and helpful. Would absolutely love to come back here again!

Gorgeous cottage

We stayed here with our twins and absolutely loved it. Gorgeous views of Cayuga Lake with a hot tub you can enjoy the view from. Thoughtful details and convenient amenities throughout the home and property that really elevated the experience. Hosts were very communicative and pleasant. This property has direct access to the lake which we didn’t use but would love to during warmer months. Would love to come back and stay here again.

Wonderful Weekend
