Are pets allowed at Tranquility?

We have a strict NO PET policy. Please do not book this property if you intend on bringing any kind of pet. We cannot accept any pets due to a medical condition of the host who often spends time at the property (severe allergies among others).
Any guest found with a pet in a property will be required to vacate the premises without refund. Plus, pay for any cleanup fees. This is strictly enforced.

What is Tranquility's check-in/check-out policy?

On your scheduled day of arrival, you may check-in anytime after 4:00 p.m. EST. On your scheduled date of departure, check-out time is 10:00 a.m. EST. Early check-ins and late check-outs can't be confirmed until the day before arrival or departure. The fee is an extra $25 per hour, up to 4 hours. ALL EARLY CHECK-INS & LATE CHECK-OUTS MUST BE CONFIRMED VIA EMAIL.

Is the pool and Jacuzzi year round?

They are outdoor and are seasonal. The Jucuzzi generally closes after Thanksgiving and opens around Easter. Note: HOA may close either for a variety of reasons.

What is provided for each rental in regards to linens, bath towels, and toiletries?

Each bed within the property will be complete with sheets, pillow cases, and a blanket and/or comforter upon arrival. Each full bathroom is outfitted with at least 1 large bath towel per person, 1 wash cloth per person, and a bath mat. We provide beach towels for the beach and/or pool. The linens will only be serviced by Tranquility and Carolina Beach staff upon departure. Each bathroom will have an initial supply of hand soap and toilet tissue. Each kitchen will have an initial stock of paper towels and trash bags.

What housekeeping service does Tranquility offer?

Each rental home will be cleaned prior to guest check-in and then upon guest check-out and departure. This is scheduled at the time of your reservation and is required. Additional housekeeping services such as mid-stay cleans and towel and linen service are available upon request for an additional charge.

Should you leave something behind, please let us know. We are happy to send your items back to you, however we will charge you for the shipping and time.

Historic Wilmington is about 15 minutes northwest.

Great Getaway Retreat!

My friends and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. Lovely place & it had everything we needed for a weekend stay -- including beach boards & toys! The ONLY negatives: the hot tub & pool are only open from dawn to dusk beach access is actually about a 1/3 of a mile away via a boardwalk Other than this, we had a great time here & would certainly return again!

Enjoyed ocen view between the buildings. The beach is vehicle accessible for savvy 4x4... Place was clean, air conditioner worked but was not on when arrived. Easy fix... thsnks for your time and place ro enjoy a great weekend

Overall decent place to stay at Carolina Beach!

Unit was not as well maintained as it appears in the photos. Fire alarm had no battery, dryer squeaked really loud and the sitting area furniture and mattresses were uncomfortable. Even so, the overall area was very nice and we enjoyed our week. Be prepared for a very long walk to the beach!

Although the weather was chilly and we only stayed one night, we had a wonderful time. It was a short walk from the condo to the beach but the private walkway was beautiful. The condo was nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. There were lots of special touches throughout the condo: lotion and hand soap in the bathrooms, board games and cards in the living room and miscellaneous grocery items in the kitchen (i.e. salt, pepper, etc.). My kids (ages 2 & 4) were excited to find the basket of toys under the sink - which was a very nice and unexpected surprise! The owners were very responsive and hospitable - I would highly recommend staying here. We hope to return again in the future.

Perfect location for a family trip!

We arrived at the condo to find that it was every bit as beautiful as the online pictures and description! If anything, the description under-sells the quiet, peaceful neighborhood in which the condo resides! It’s a very short walk to the marina next door, and an easy (although a bit longer) walk across the beautiful tidal marsh to the beach. The boardwalk across the marsh is an adventure in itself, and every day we saw lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery there. The gated community lends itself well to a family stay and the beach is well tended by lifeguards. The condo is well appointed and clean, and the owners provide a fun selection of beach chairs, umbrella, toys, and wagons to transport all of it. The washer and dryer are a real plus too! The owners responded quickly to all of our questions and refunded our security deposit quickly after our departure. The location is ideal...close to the beach and marina, a short drive to town, but nestled back in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Definitely a place to visit again!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The short walk to the beach and pool were perfect. It definitely was nice to have the beach wagon to haul all our stuff! We loved being close to everything (boardwalk, restaurants) but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. My 4 year old twins had a blast and loved the bunkbeds! Lovely Setting

The property needs a little work the main issue was the flooring. Every time you took a step the floor would crackle and snap. Overall the place had everything you could possibly need. Beach cart which was a little old but came in very helpful. There were beach chairs, pool towels, fishing gear, you name it they had it. This is probably the first place I’ve stayed at that had almost everything you needed. I love the marsh land so nice just to sit on the walkway and watch the sunrise. The community was nice, well everyone was nice that was a surprise. We really enjoyed ourselves and the local foods was great. If you’re into Thai foods(pho) the one we enjoyed was Pho cafe small but cheap and delicious. The A+ smoothie shop was also very good. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful area

This property has some pros and cons. The pros include: lovely area with great third floor views, quick walk to the beach, great pool, newly painted condo, clean condo, responsive owner, and wine refrigerator. The cons include the bed in the second bedroom. It was not really comfortable for adults. In addition, we had a few things not working properly like one fan and one TV. Owner was made aware. We did not request a fix because we were only staying for a four nights. Owner responsive to those issues. I would say the biggest negative for me was the second bed. It was a bunk bed with a metal frame and a full size mattress on the bottom. However, it was really suited for kids and not two adults. The mattress was just not comfortable. It had no box spring and I don’t think I saw a bunkie board. I could be wrong about the bunkie board because I only lifted it briefly. Either way I finally had to sleep on the couch the last night because I just couldn’t get comfortable on that mattress which had absolutely no support. I think kids or teens would be fine. The second bedroom could also use a few more hangers. Once again - if you want a private location and the ability to walk to both a pool and the beach plus look out at gorgeous views this may be the place for you. I also recommend a drive to Fort Fisher state park. It was lovely.

Worst rental experience in 20 years at Carolina Beach

We booked this with the intention of working part of the week. As soon as we arrived the internet was out, and was not fixed until Monday afternoon - an only after my husband spent 2.5 hours with the cable guy and missed the afternoon on the beach with us. We missed 3 days of work, in addition to having to stream our own internet and utilize our own data plan (which costs us additional money. The owners response was "i'm glad they were able to get it working for you." No thank you for anything. Had we not done this, they would have been forced to drive down to fix it or continue to deal with the issue with future tenants. If you plan to work while here, or use internet at all, FIND A NEW PLACE. the cable guy said it would likely go out again and they need a new line. He also said there was no way this was the first time there was an issue. The front wheel on the beach cart is completely bent and the handle is about to fall off from rust. We never did find the beach chairs that come with the place, unless you mean the camping chairs that were in the closet. No one wanted to use the the master bathroom shower because it instantly clogged when the water turned on from previous renters hair and sand. I refuse to clean that out myself from someone else's rental. The table has a sticky film on it from something that the cleaners or another renter used. You never have to worry about spilling a glass bc it literally sticks to the table (along with everything else). There is no way that the cleaners vacuumed the floor prior to our arrival, the amount of sand was so bad, that it was the first thing I did. The fan in the spare room was broken, and we had to wipe the washer where mold was growing around the rim. The place just needs some TLC. We have rented for over 20 years in CB area and never had these gross issues, especially when you advertise this place to be a spa like vacation.

Booked property as last minute adventure with family. Advertisement looked very clean and accommodating but advertisementWe're deceiving. Upon arrival, we were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the property. The dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator were dirty. We opened up the sofa bed for our youngest daughter and there were food crumbs, dirt, and what seemed like things that fell out of people's pockets all over the mattress cover. Additional linens were located but most were stained and we ended up using our own blankets as top covers. The bunk bed covers also had stains. Curtains in living room did not cover ANY of the windows. Will not stay again.

This condo has a great layout and very nicely decorated. The condo was equipped with everything we could need and then some! Sharon was a pleasure to work with and very easy to get in touch with throughout the whole booking process, so nice to know your questions/concerns can be answered in a timely manner! I've stayed in Spinnaker Pointe for a number of years now and this was my first time staying in the "C" condo complex. The gated community is one of my favorite aspects of renting in Spinnaker Pointe and the ten minute walk to the beach never grows old for our family as we enjoy seeing all the wildlife along the way (crabs, lizards, birds, etc.)! If you decide to book here, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Needed a safe place to travel to just us girls

I needed a safe clean place to bring my daughter and her friend to be able to drive and visit UNC Wilmington. This was a fabulous choice to be able to be close to the beach and yet an easy ride to the college. I loved the private gate and the condo was perfect.

Why they chose this property

It's the perfect location! We have ocean and Intracoastal Waterway views. After combing through several properties along North Carolina's coastline, when we found our condo at Carolina Beach our search was over. We couldn't ask for a better combination for a beach getaway...a gated community, private boardwalk and beach, pool, marina and tennis courts! It's a place where adults and kids can feel safe. If you like taking a walk and not having to worry about traffic you'll love our condo! It's like a private resort. My husband loves to fish and boat. We can dock at the marina and also fish either at the North Pier at the ocean or at the marina on the Intracoastal Waterway. Both are walking distance! For something different, Wilmington is about 15 minutes north, there's so much to explore there! And, of course we have FREE Wifi!
