Connor F writes: Our stay at Nature’s Romance was everything we asked for and more. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin. Jill was very helpful with answering all of our questions before, during, and after our visit. She also gave us great recommendations of things to do in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would highly recommend booking a stay at this cabin. It was perfectly secluded and the hot tub on the deck was a great touch. The very comfortable king-sized bed was also great after a long day of walking around town. Thank you again to Jill and her family for great hospitality and a relaxing vacation. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin! We had so much fun and can’t wait to come back to visit !

The check in process was easy and accurate information was provided. The cabin location was nice and as described. We might have given a higher overall rating were it not for the following: within minutes of arrival we discovered a really dirty glass in the cabinet after more investigation we found more dirty glasses and unwashed grease coated plates and silverware in the cabinets as well. We called the owner to report what we found thinking she would want to know so that she could follow up with the cleaners in order to prevent future issues and improve the experience for the next renters. Her response was to assist us in finding another property to rent…what? She became very defensive made the comment “you’re going to give me a bad review anyway “ . We neither asked for or expected money back or an apology. We received neither. A simple apology would have gone a long way toward making the situation better. Our complaint was not frivolous or motivated by ulterior intent. The cabin is nice but the owner’s attitude needs improvement.

First, let’s address the big lie. Never, in the 20 years that I’ve rented my cabin have I ever discussed a review with a guest…NEVER. I have a personal policy to not do that since it’s inconsequential to me. Reviews are just that, reviews. So for her to lie and say I did…is unbelievable. Unreal Joyce. Reviews are subjective to the writer. In many cases, like with Joyce, it makes the writer feel powerful to write negative things. Joyce told me about the dirty glass and dish…but not the silverware. Yes, of course, I did apologize..immediately as a matter of fact…not sure how she missed that! But she was steaming-hot mad. I knew from experience that they wouldn’t be happy, so I offered to help find them another place to stay. The “simple apology” you said would go a long way...you got that from me immediately! Did you not hear it, or were you too mad to hear it?? Plus an offer to find you a BETTER PLACE THAT YOU LIKED. She said they didn’t want to pack up and that they had just settled in with their cocktails and that was her reason for not changing!! It must have been a true “hardship” to stay in our beautiful cabin with a beautiful view…since you stayed the entire time!!! I think this “padded with exaggerations” review, and of course the lie about "reviews", is merely because it’s actually RIDICULOUS to think a glass or a dish that got missed by housekeeping will make or break your stay. Really? So, she had to make it sound bad. I addressed it immediately with my housekeeping…offered to move her and apologized. Things do happen. I pity the next owners that get you. This is why I won’t recommend you as a guest to other VRBO owners. Joyce, search your conscience on what really happened. Why “pad it all up” and exaggerate? I was polite to you, yet you hung up on me…remember that?
I very much LOVE what I do. My family and I LOVE our guests and love our cabin…and it shows in every aspect and detail we put into our lovely cabin.
The cabin was great, we enjoyed the hot tub and view, we didnt mind the gravel driveway up to the cabin but would've like to known that the parking area was on a steep embankment where we had to put it in 4x4 everytime to get up there to park and that its not real truck friendly to turn around which we was in a 1ton pickup, also the master bed was super stiff for us but we did enjoy our stay still

Really Ethan?? Did you really just write that "you would have liked to have known" the driveway was steep? We let ALL our guests know upfront and immediately when booking....just like we let you know!! Unreal Ethan, In no less than 3 places you were INFORMED! I am looking at them now on our messages in the VRBO app.
Here's 1 : "You are IN the mountains...not merely near them! Our driveway is steep and we let you know this up front. Please be OK with this BEFORE you go. If you are NOT ok with this, you need to call us to discuss or cancel immediately inside the VRBO app"
Here's 2: "If you haven't been to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, keep in mind you are in the mountains! Which means the terrain is mountainous obviously...our driveway is steep and you must pull all the way up"
And # 3 notification to Ethan: "Our driveway is steep and we let our guests know this upfront. You are in a mountainous area and can expect this as well as windy, back country roads in the Smokies"
Here is confirmation FROM Ethan. He wrote:"I confirm to everything plus we are from 2.5 hrs to 3 hrs away so we get the terrain and we plan to be coming in our truck thank you"
So to make it even more ridiculous Ethan had no security code to get in. This I provide in 2 places in the app and it's sent in text to your phone as well. Naturally, I called him immediately to verbally give it to him! New bed is memoryfoam/ beds are generally a personal preference. Maybe read first before you review
Nice cabin for two way up in the mountains near the top of a climbing road it is 20 or 30 minutes from most sites which is peaceful however we happened to have neighbors who were louder than us and spent a lot of time outside

I am totally perplexed Margaret, as to why you didn't contact my husband or myself immediately when you heard noise? The Sheriff would have been up there immediately to rectify the situation. This is not tolerated in our area. This is the 1st we're hearing of this and we had to find out about it in your review??? How odd. This is something you should have contacted the owner about immediately. This is also the very 1st complaint on this in 20 years of owning our cabin. If owners are not notified....we can't "guess"
We LOVE our guests and we LOVE our cabin and take care of everything immediately. So responsibility falls on YOU for never picking up the phone.
Communication was great. The cabin was great. The location was exactly what we were looking for. I hope we are able to stay again.
