Home In The Woods: NEW!
About this space
Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. A beautiful home overlooking the golf course and Terrace Lakes Resort and surrounding mountains. A perfect getaway for the golfer in your family or an amazing location for the kids to sled down the hill on the golf course or enjoy the year around geo-thermal swimming pool. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee while watching the elk gather. You won't be disappointed with Home in the Woods!
The space
The main level features a bedroom with a king sized bed and a central bathroom . The upper level features three queen sized beds and a full bath. The lower level features a bedroom with a king sized bed, a full bath, sleeper couch and a futon bed.
There are two giant flat screen smart TV's, full WIFI and internet service, a wet bar with ice maker, gaming table and new Webber gas BBQ. The home has just been updated with new stainless steel appliances, furniture, beds, bedding, plumbing fixtures and lighting.
Other things to note
Summer Heat Control
Recommendations to manage the heat:
1. Before going to bed at night, turn off air conditioner and ceiling fans if running.
2. Open all sliding windows on the main level of the cabin (including the bedroom). This typically cools off the main level and loft area overnight.
3. In the morning, close all the windows. Depending upon outside temperatures t, this should keep you cool at least through the morning.
4. When it starts to heat up inside, turn on the ceiling fans – the main level switch is beside the sliding glass door, For the loft fan, use the pull chain hanging from the fan.
5. If it still gets hot, use the air conditioner in the loft.
Note: The top dial “Air Control” on the AC should be set to “OFF” (recirculates air inside the cabin). DO NOT set for either “Fresh Air” or “Exhaust”, this is much less efficient.
Note: The lower level of the cabin always stays cool. Do not open the lower level windows.
Wood Burning Fireplace
Before starting the fireplace, be sure the damper is open (handle up inside the fireplace that opens/closes the chimney). If you do not, all the smoke will come into the cabin. Please close the damper once the fire is completely out the next day to avoid losing warn air up the chimney.
Gas Fireplace
Note: We have found that the wall furnaces and various electric wall heaters will keep the cabin warm in the winter. If this central gas stove is used, the cabin becomes overheated, resulting in doors and windows being opened to cool the cabin. Therefore, to conserve propane fuel, we have shut off the pilot light on this stove. Thanks for your consideration in saving natural resources and $$$.
