About this property
Luxury, Romantic, Views, Outdoor Tub, Hike-waterfall
Have you been dreaming of waking up to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains? While staying at the Treetop Hideaway you will wake up every morning greeted by a breathtaking view of Hickory Nut Mountain. Take a short walk up a lit wooden bridge that leads to the treehouse. Spend the day laying in the hammock or take a 20 minute hike to a nearby waterfall through the woods. Our treehouse is located on a 30 acre horse farm that is 20 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and 30 to Asheville.
Welcome to our Family Treehouse!
Thank you for staying at our custom-built treehouse nicknamed the "Treetop Hideaway". My dad and I envisioned this tiny oasis a few years ago and we are so happy to share it with you guys! To give you a little history on the treehouse, my father and I started building this custom treehouse a few months after we drew the plans. We cut cedar trees from the woods here in McDowell County and had them milled for the siding. We also acquired rough cut poplar that had been air drying for over a year from the same mill. Both my dad and I planed the poplar for the finished inside walls. From pouring the concrete to building the walk bridge, we have spent hours bringing our vision alive. Our property borders Pisgah National Forest and the treehouse sits a few hundred feet from the line. Enjoy the 180 view of Hickory Nut Mountain Range. We are proud to offer the finished product and hope you enjoy your stay!
Located 5 minutes to downtown Old Fort which is an up and coming bike area with several trails. We are located 15 minutes to downtown Marion with so many biking and hiking trails. We are 40 minutes to the highest peak on the east coast, Mount Mitchell. You can jump on the Blue Ridge Parkway in about 25 minutes from the treehouse. We are located 30 minutes to Asheville with so many attractions, Biltmore House, Grove Park, and world class restaurants. We are located 20 minutes to Lake James, so go enjoy the state park and take a picnic lunch!
Marion, NC was recently voted by the Travel & Leisure magazine as the #1 area to purchase vacation property.
