We regret to learn that aspects of the driveway and exterior landscape presented challenges during your stay. We clearly disclose that we are situated in a heavily wooded area, and the final mile of your drive is on a dirt road. While a four-wheel drive vehicle is not mandatory, we do not recommend a vehicle with a low ground clearance for this area. Additionally, we are not located on a lake but on Nomini Creek, which is situated off the Potomac River. The path to the dock is not as steep as it is often portrayed. It is rather a gentle slope that leads to two small flights of stairs to reach the dock. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with our contact number. It is fully functional, and we are surprised that we never received a voicemail or text message. Nevertheless, this is not the experience we strive to provide, and while we aspire to please every single one of our guests, we occasionally recognize that not all guests are a perfect match for our accommodations.
