Beautiful oasis

Tucked into a cul de sac and trees, the house was so beautiful and quiet. We found it a great base to go hiking nearby, and a large tv and comfortable lounge to relax with in the evening. Very gracious hosts, with super fast and clear communications. Couldn’t recommend enough. 😊

Great home and host! Perfect for what we were looking for!

Ian was a great host who has pride of ownership with his property. As a property manager in Maui we see it all so I know when someone is doing it right. 5 star all the way. Mahalo!

Love Basecamp!

Our stay at Basecamp was one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had! What a beautiful home in a magical neighborhood. Very sweet neighbors too. Ian is a wonderful host and communicator. I was surprised how many great food options were right down the street and you can’t beat the proximity to Timberline and other ski resorts on Mt Hood. The home itself is excellent — spacious, clean and everything we needed to have a game night, cook a great meal, or snuggle up by the fire. Thank you for a great experience and all of your helpful recommendations, Ian! We will return every year without question!

Honeymoon at Basecamp

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Basecamp. We were blown away with the coziness of the house and how nice all the appliances were. We especially enjoyed getting cozy by the fireplace, hiking out to Salmon River, and relaxing in the hot tub. Great stay!

Friends Getaway

This was an awesome spot for our yearly Dad’s weekend up on Mt Hood. After some skiing in the morning, we came back to this great house in Welches. Clean and comfortable and with a really well stocked kitchen with all the necessary items for cooking. The host was really communicative and provided great information about the house and area. Will definitely be checking to see if this spot is available next year and for any upcoming mountain trips with the kids too. Thanks for a great stay Ian!

Beautiful home

We were looking for a place to get away from it all and if this home had been in a more secluded place it would have been perfect although there was nothing misleading in the listing at all. It clearly shows neighboring homes so that's on us. The home is impeccably clean and has every thing you could need for your stay including big fluffy towels, super comfy beds, a well stocked spice cabinet and tons of cookware and dishes. The owner checks to see if anything is needed which was nice. We were 3 women staying by ourselves and having no window coverings in the kitchen living room area was a bit uncomfortable but that is the only negative and we made do. This is a beautiful property with lots to do nearby. Highly recommend this listing.

Traveling Over Yonder

Beautiful house and property! Easy to get to and just close enough to do activities in the Mount Hood area but far enough for privicy. Family went to Timberline and even did a local walk to Salmon River. It was relaxing enough to get stuyding and quiet reading done. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of places to sit for our family of 5. All appliances worked and are well taken care of. Hosts are amazing and quick to respond!

Home away from home

We had a 10 day stay at this property during a June ski camp for my daughter. We traveled with me, my wife, a 4 year old and an 8 year old. The place was pretty close to perfection. All of the furniture is top notch. All beds are comfortable. Super clean. 3 bathrooms was a plus. Newer nice appliances. Fantastic grill. Hot tub. My wife cooks a lot and the kitchenware was definitely usable for a vacation. Nice plates, glasses, wine glasses, silverware. Nice large tv’s in living room and primary bed room. Plenty of hangers in each closet and hampers for laundry in each bedroom. Top notch all around. You will not be disappointed!

Basecamp FTW!

New to the Portland area and this was our first time exploring Mt. Hood with the family. Basecamp was amazing, at first I was a little nervous staying further down the hill then government camp as we were going to Meadows to ski, but the high quality of the home and easy access to a bunch of restaurants made up for it. The house is new with high quality finishes and a beautiful mountain vibe. Kids loved the hot tub and the bunk beds. Would 100% stay again, Looking forward to coming up in the summer for some hiking and golf!
