The property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the power poo, never made it down to the lower pool. Sadly our family didn’t arrive until the evening before we left due to flight cancellations but we would definitely rent this place again.

Wonderful stay!

This is a great rental. Excellent location, close to all the food, shopping and fun to be had in Kihei, a short drive from Wailea, and roadside beaches galore. The condo was clean, beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the parking spot included was right out front. It was also located right across the parking lot from most beautiful pool & hot tub area. The owner was kind, responsive, and accommodating. Thanks Gregg for a truly wonderful stay!

Very comfortable, peaceful condo in great location

We had a great time at Gregg's place. All the beach equipment was provided, parking was convenient, and a beautiful tranquil pool is right across the parking lot from the unit, easy to walk to with lots of pool toys in hand. Short drive to lots of gorgeous beaches. Lovely porch to sit on and gaze at the ocean with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent location and condo

We enjoyed this clean and spacious rental with our 2 young kids. It is steps away from one of the pools in the Maui Kamaole complex and a very short walk to one of the best beach parks in Maui. It’s a 30-40 minute walk to the Wailea resort and shopping area, with tons to do and see in Kihei as well. We’d highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful Condo

Our entire group was very pleased with the condo. We loved the large open kitchen/dining/living area with a beautiful view. There was plenty of room for us to dine together on the lanai or just sit out at night and see the stars if the sky was clear. The kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed and the bathrooms were beautiful. A reserved parking spot in front of the condo and the nearby tropical pool were great too!

Ideal Maui Condo

This condo was perfect for my family and I to visit Maui. The condo was as described and in a great location. Appliances worked well and were quiet. The condo complex bbq was handy for outdoor cooking and the family loved the pool and hot tub nearby. The owner Greg was responsive throughout the rental process. Incredible stay in Kihei

I stayed here with my mom in March, and we could not have possibly had a better experience here. This condo is easily the best one I have ever stayed in - flawlessly clean, plenty of amenities, spacious, and absolutely gorgeous. We were in Kihei to spread my father's ashes, so we really just needed a comfortable and hassle-free place to relax and watch the sunset after some emotional days. Of course, we did find the time to enjoy many of the nearby beaches! The property grounds are unbelievably beautiful, and it was a short walk to both pools. We had everything we could have possibly needed while staying here. If you're looking for a place to stay in Kihei, this is the one. Thank you so much, Gregg! I can't wait to come back!

Beautiful and Peaceful

A beautiful and peaceful place to call home during our stay in Kihei. Unit J205 is as advertised and well stocked with everything you need - including foil and storage bags! The reserved parking spot was great - to know you’d have a place when you returned from adventuring all day was a relief! It is also conveniently located a few steps from the staircase leading to the unit. Gregg was a fabulous owner/host and was very responsive. The pool area was great and Kam III Beach was a short walk (or drive) away. I highly recommend staying here and hopefully we will again soon.

this condo has all the comforts of home. the beautiful remodel has you feel like you are in a brand new home with all the items needed to enjoy your stay and explore the island of maui. two nice pools allow you time to relax and the owner has provided simple items to make your stay easy - coolers, chairs, ice blocks, movies, brochures, large television. the kitchen and dining area are wide open with plenty of room. the deck is spacious with nice view of the grounds and partial ocean, with nice sun awning. this is a great place to call home for your vacation. owner provides good informaiton on maui places to visit if you are not familiar with island and property is located walking distance to beaches and dining area of south kihei dr.

What a wonderful condo!

Goodness, everything about our stay was wonderful. From the thoughtful phone call from Gregg before we arrived to the last sunset. The condo is spectacular; my son said it felt like home. And that is exactly what it is, someone's lovely condo we had the honor to stay in. Gregg has thought of everything. Guests are provided more than they need in bedding, bathroom stock, kitchen supplies, and beach gear. The condo is well-maintained, clean, and perfect for families. The development itself has absolutely gorgeous landscaping. The pool was a great break from the sand. The walkability to the beach was delightful. And the sunsets . . . book this condo alone for its sunsets. We will be back!

Absolute paradise

We've stayed at many properties in the Kihei area over the years and this is now our absolute favorite! The condo is spacious, well appointed and was extremely comfortable for this multi-generational group that included a teenager and senior (big bonus points for having such a huge variety of kitchen supplies and beach toys... It resulted in far fewer trips to the ABC!). The condo is situated in a gorgeous area near so many world class beaches. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained, and boasts one of the best condo pools around. Gregg is a wonderful, responsive host who took great care to reach out in advance of our visit to answer any questions and help ensure a smooth arrival. His communication and tips were very much apprecited. We LOVED this vacation and our two-week beach home was a major part of that enjoyment... Can't highly recommend this stay enough! Aloha.

Great condo! Beautiful surroundings, but complex was not as family friendly as past visits

We loved our stay in Gregg's condo at Maui Kamaole. The condo was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The location is wonderful, right across the road from our favorite beach. We stayed with our 12 year old son, my husband, myself and 6 year old twin grandsons. The fold out futon was perfect for the twins and we never felt cramped or crowded. Gregg was wonderful to work with, communicated well and answered any questions we had very promptly. That being said, I would like to explain why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5. This is our third time staying at the Maui Kamaole. In the past it has been super family friendly, fun and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. However, on this stay, that was not the case. On our first trip to the upper pool (our favorite), we took our son and grandsons. Within five minutes, my husband was confronted by another guest telling him they were no "loud noises" allowed. The "loud noises" were our grandsons saying things like "grandpa, watch me!" They were not being particularly loud, just excited and happy. On another visit, a rainy afternoon when we decided to skip the beach, we arrived to find one of the managers scolding another group of kids (older, probably 10-14) for being too loud, telling them someone had called the front office and complained. During this same trip to the pool, a guest who wanted to lap swim told us the complex was more a "retirement community" a fact that has never been mentioned in the past. We offered to stay to one side of the pool so he could swim, but he declined and walked off. We never felt like we could really relax during our visits to the pool and were constantly "shushing" our grandsons, which took away from the experience. Another family told us their 4 year old child was chastised by a guest for jumping in the pool and splashing her while sunbathing right next to the pool. This was very disappointing to us and so different from our past visits to Maui Kamaole. Fortunately, we do love the beach, and spent most of our time there. This is in no way a reflection on our accommodations. As I stated earlier, the condo was stellar, but I think when we return to Maui in two years, we will search out a more family friendly environment, which is sad, because we love the location so. I highly recommend to couples or families with older children, ones who do not squeal with delight and/or joy while swimming in the pools.

Gregg and Connie have been coming to Maui Kamaole since 1993, visiting and always hoping to eventually owning a condo in the complex. They held out hoping a unit would become available in the Jassmine (J) complex, which is centrally located in the complex with ocean views, but up high enough on the hill to enjoy wonderful ocean breezes and peaceful serenity. Although we’ve traveled all over, we still find the beauty and magic of Maui unparalleled. Maui is both adventure and sanctuary, exotic yet relaxing, exciting yet peaceful, magical and enduring. J205 is very special and we invite all our guests to share it with us and be our attentive partners in keeping J205 nice and comfortable and a gift for all who stay here.

Why they chose this property

Maui Kamaole is indisputably the most beautiful property in South Kihei with wonderfully kept sweeping lawns, surrounded by lovely tropical setting (no less than 70 species of plants). It is low density, low rise, and uncrowded; a third of the property is lived in year-long by owners, a third lived in partially by owners, and only a third of it is rented out exclusively year long; the owners who live there all year-round keep a dedicated eye on things and everyone is committed to keeping up the quality of the complex. It is also close to the boat ramp for any fun excursion, within walking distance to some of the best beaches in South Maui for swimming, snorkeling, as well as a wide variety of restaurants and shops and also great walks and jogging and world class golfing to the immediate south in Wailea. It is simply where we love to live ourselves ....

What makes this property unique

There are many benefits to staying at J205 for our guests, all of which do not incur a premium in rate and all of which we also love and enjoy ourselves when we are at the condo:

- unquestionable value in having an ocean view from your own lanai
- unquestionable value in having a spacious condo (only 25% of all two bedroom condos at Maui Kamaole are of this size or larger)
- unquestionable value in having a much newer condo
- unquestionable value in dealing with owners who care about their guests and care about refreshing and upgrading the condo based on the needs and comforts of the guests, so the condo is always kept nice (this can easily be ascertained by reading through the complete set of Guest Comments)
- unquestionable value in staying at a better-managed condo, with a team of the best people on island who help to make your stay a great one
- unquestionable value for staying at the nicest and one of the very few low-density complexes in South Maui with manicured lawns and lush tropical gardens (no less than 70 species of plants) and pools and Jacuzzis, grills, and a tennis court
