Weeki Wachee Gardens is home to this holiday home. Weeki Wachee Springs and Bowlero Spring Hill are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and Weeki Wachee River. Nature Coast Botanical Gardens and Adventure Coast Fun Park are also worth visiting.
We enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse on the River. It was our first time going to the Weeki Wachi area. The house accommodated us nicely and we enjoyed the amenities onsite such as fishing and kayaking. The neighborhood was quiet and welcoming.
This is in a beautiful location away from the river traffic yet close enough to access everything. Well stocked facilities. We loved the paddle boards and kayaks. My grandkids used them for the first time and were super excited. We saw so much wildlife in the water - turtles, fish, manatee and dolphins!
Wonderful property! This home was perfect for our family with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house is decorated nicely and the LVP floors were easy to sweep and keep tidy. The kitchen is small, but had plenty of dishware and appliances. The house sits on a corner lot with water frontage on two sides. The home has a lovely yard with firepit on one side and multi-tiered deck with a good size outdoor dining table. There were two dock areas, one of which made getting the supplied kayaks easy to get in and out of the water. The kayaks were great! There was a good assortment of both double and single kayaks available and an assortment of life vests. There were fishing poles there, but we had brought our own and the kids were catching fish within 5 minutes of our arrival. MANATEES!!! We were excited that the manatees hung out in the canal every day....it was so special watching them. There were also turtles, crazy jumping fish, and lots of birds to see. It is a short paddle to the main river and both directions of the river were clear and beautiful. Down river, Rogers Park isn't very far and the kids loved splashing around in their swimming area. Up river was less inhabited and gave us the sense that we were in the movie Jungle Cruise..very picturesque. The owners are very quick to communicate and even greeted us with a basket of treats to welcome us to their home. We will definitely come back to stay again, it really was a perfect visit!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The river is amazing and the property was clean and comfortable. We were greeted by manatee and dolphins on the first evening and the location is very close to the main Weeki Wachee River (about a 5 to 7 minute paddle).
I stayed here with my family while visiting for a funeral. Of course no one was in the mood to plan activities for the kids so this spot allowed us to keep them entertained even when it rained. It is a beautiful place. I have no complaints. I hope to stay again under better circumstances.
Easy check-in. Kitchen has everything you need in it. Lots of towels. Clean bedding. Everything worked as it should. Access to the river was a bit hard to get into. No stairs or ladder. No dishwasher. Hot tub was clean. Overall good experience.
The homeowner was so awesome. Anything we needed he was just a phone call away. The house was very tidy and plenty spacious. The outdoor area was gorgeous and the kayaks were great. We enjoyed a fire at night, and there was even firewood on the premises. It was one of our best stays at Weeki Wachee definitely will be back again! Every morning we woke up to manatees right on our dock, munching away on the seagrass.

With a little TLC, it could be great
-1000ft via kayak from the clear main stream. We saw manatees and jumping trout every day. The fire pit and the kayaks are great additions. The house is a double trailer. It looks much bigger in the pictures. Also, expect to eat in plastic cups and plates.

Thank you for the review, we have found that plastic tends to be better then glass when it comes to vacationing so nothing breaks. I'm glad you all had a great time!!

Fun in the sun!
The rental process was extremely smooth! I was a little bit surprised to find out it was a trailer and not a house. It was still pleasant. The cleaning was not up to my standards but, as the hot tub was also not clean at all very unsanitary. Location was great and all and all we had a great time!

Thank you for your review. I am glad you all had a great time. I would advise the next time you rent someone's home, you follow the rules and don't bring animals that are not allowed. As far as cleanliness, the house has been completely remodeled and was spotless upon your one hour early arrival (which we allowed at no extra charge). I would also recommend before saying the hot tub was unsanitary, you should have refilled it and that would show it was used. We have house rules for a reason and very few were followed by you and your family.
Thanks again for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Shoutout to the owner for bringing us a remote control for the tv from an hour and half away. We had such a great time. Loved the little snack bins. Just some little things like kitchen hand towels, and wash clothes and the cleaners need to sweep under things such as beds, couch and refrigerator. Oh and leave a broom and dust pan. But promise overall experience was fantastic!!!
Thank you!!!!
Location is great for paddling to the Weekie Watchie river. Our big family had plenty of room to spread out inside and out! Loved that outside they had a deck to load/unload our boards/kayaks, outside dinning, separate deck for lounging/sunning and looking at the river, another area for fishing and a fire pit, plus a outside area to relax and enjoy the jacuzzi as well as a front porch with chairs! So much room to spread out and relax. The welcome basket with snacks and essentials was a fun treat. Plenty of towels for shower and swimming. Pantry had all the basics to help with dinner. Felt very at home with the sweet décor and comfy beds. Owner was always quick with answering our questions. Everything was wonderful!
