Family Beach Get Away

Family and friends had a great time in the absolutely cute as-can-be "Serenity". Our host, Mary was delightful and suggested amazing dining and local shops. We had a wonderful time!

Sweet seaside space for family getaway

Serenity is appropriately named! We enjoyed walking to Seacliff Beach, strolling to local restaurants, and just hanging out in the well appointed house.

Great time in Aptos

We had a wonderful time, and the house was clean and cozy. Lots of room and all expectations were met. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we would definitely stay here again.

Great home for a family getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this home. Communication with the host was clear and easy. Location couldn’t be better - walkable to the beach, restaurants and ice cream. Plus the neighborhood is calm and safe. We would stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone with or without kids looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

Great access

Great access to the beach, redwood forest, and all the neighboring towns. The house had more than everything we needed. It was easy to communicate, check in and check out. We were very comfortable and had a great time.

Cozy by the beach

The host welcomed us with a wine bottle and chocolates. Home was welcoming and cozy!! Located in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach.

Lives up to its name

Serenity truly lives up to its name. We had a very relaxing time. An easy walk to the beach and downtown Aptos. Especially “Ice Cream” Had a wonderful time.

Beach Getaway

This home is only a block away from Beachgate, which leads to Seacliff State Beach. The house is full of amenities and even has an in-law quarters in the back. The owner was easy to contact, and she responded to all our texts quickly. We highly recommend staying here! And, we can’t wait to return in the summer!

Perfect Accommodations

Brought my High School Basketball team down here for a Summer Tournament in Santa Cruz. From early inquiries up until check in Mary was always quick to respond to all of my questions. House was perfect for our team and the cottage in the back was ideal for my wife and I to stay. We spent the day at the Boardwalk and nights walking to the beach ending the evening at Marianne’s for ice cream!

Great place right next to the beach and a few exits from Santa Cruz

We had a terrific stay here. We were from the Bay Area previously but moved and decided to have a family vacation with friends of ours and the kids. The place is a great size, especially with the back house. There is an ice cream and pizza shop a few blocks away, which was a nice easy walk after our plane ride. The overlook for the beach is a block away from the house. The house had a wagon and kids toys that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful safe neighborhood with off-street parking too!

Cozy in Aptos

This house worked out perfect. The main bedroom is dialed, the room with the trundle bed was convenient for my 2 daughters and I, plus the detached casita worked out well for my friend to have his own space. Location is the best part. Walk to the beach, restaurants, etc. I'm originally from Aptos so being right close to all the amenities was the goal and this house checked that box. Thanks again.

Mary was amazing. Nice touch with the welcome bottle of rose. Location was perfect for our needs. Would have been nice to have a few more towels. Couldn’t get the fridge and hot water to work in the bungalow but otherwise it suited our needs just fine.

Great house!

Super clean and homey. So close to the beach and adorable downtown area. Great amenities and wifi. The teenagers were obsessed with the bidet toilet additions lol. My only complaint is that the shower in the bungalow had really low pressure and it took forever to even get my hair wet. But I would absolutely stay there again. I love that I had my own space and my (very responsible and trustworthy) teenagers had their own space. Thank you, Mary!

Beyond expectations

Best kitchen ever, cooked up a storm and the only thing I couldn’t find was a colander and a salt shaker. Everything worked! Easy in and out. Close walk to beach or easy drive down to aptos beach. Great restaurants close by but the house itself, with top notch appliances, made me feel like we stepped up a notch. The little apartment room in the back was a godsend. The roof deck was fun. Will be back for sure.

Great location and easy to get to, check in etc. owner/manager was very good to work with an very responsive. Advertised as three bedrooms. The third bedroom is a detached bungalow in back. Was fine for our group but could be an issue if you has kids and thought it was in main house; it may have said that on the VRBO description but I did not recall seeing it. . I would stay here again if i needed a spot in Aptos.

Great location, but funky

The house was a perfect location and good price for us. Walking distance to pizza, coffee, ice cream, and the beach! Keypad door lock made going in and out really easy. We were happy with it for the price, but the house could use some upgrades. The beds are very hard, one of the headboards isn't securely attached so it bangs around, a reading light didn't have a light bulb in it, the outside areas are cobwebby with dead plants, etc. Overall, not a luxury place.

Great Weekend Getaway

I recently had a fantastic weekend getaway near the beach, and it was truly a memorable experience! The house we stayed in was simply wonderful. The interior was beautifully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It was especially great for families, as there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. One of the highlights was the convenience of parking, which can sometimes be a challenge near the beach communities. But this property had ample parking space, making it hassle-free for us to come and go as we pleased. Additionally, the car charger was an unexpected bonus that made charging our electric vehicle a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend place for anyone looking for a delightful near the beach retreat. The lovely house, family-friendly setup, and added perks of parking and a car charger made our stay truly enjoyable and convenient. We can't wait to return for another getaway in the future!
