This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath home that is ideal for 2 people but can sleep 4 by use of queen sofa bed in living room. It is deal for a couple's getaway at a bargain price. Located on the hill looking over the commanding view of the Monterey Bay; this unit is in a quiet and generally private complex. This single level rental is well decorated, well cared for, and fully furnished.

As you enter the home, you see a spacious master bedroom with a full bathroom; furnished with a bathtub. You will then enter a bright, open living room with a pull out couch and other seating. There is a gas fireplace, flat screen TV with DVD and an amazing view. To get a better look at the ocean you can step onto the private deck located right off the living room. Here you will have use to a BBQ and a table with bar stools. The home also has a fully equipped kitchen with everything for your cooking and entertaining needs. Next to the kitchen is a dining table that will sit up to 4 people comfortably.

It is a very short walk to the famous "10 Mile Beach" The home is conveniently located near a well known deli (Pixie Deli), coffee shop, convenience store and high end restaurant (Café Rio). You are also within 2 miles from grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, golf course, tennis court, and much more!

My recent stay at this vacation rental presented a mixed bag of experiences that ranged from the excellent to the disappointing. On the positive side, the location of the rental couldn’t be more ideal. It offered convenient parking options, which is a significant plus for travelers coming by car. Moreover, its proximity to the beach was simply superb, allowing for easy access to seaside activities and the soothing sound of waves at night.However, the experience began to falter when it came to basic amenities and the overall state of the rental. We were provided with a mere three rolls of toilet paper for a week's stay, which was insufficient for our needs. Additionally, the kitchen was equipped with only two hand towels for the entire week, which felt inadequate for daily kitchen activities. The rental was dotted with no-smoking signs, which, while understandable, contributed to a less welcoming atmosphere.A significant letdown was the state of the furnishings, which appeared to have not been updated in around 40 years. This gave the interior an outdated feel that detracted from the overall comfort and aesthetic appeal of the place.While the location and certain conveniences were highlights of our stay, the lack of basic amenities and the dated furnishings were disappointing. It's clear that the rental could benefit greatly from some updates and improvements. As it stands, I find it difficult to recommend this property. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was a great base for our trip to California. The view was spectacular! The condo was clean and comfortable., as well as quiet. Loved to be able to hear the ocean from inside. The owners even provided ice packs and a styrofoam cooler. That was a great surprise for us as we came from Ohio so couldn’t bring a cooler. This condo was a great location for visiting other places nearby. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is located in a great area. We were able to hear the ocean throughout the home. Their cleaning crew needs to be more thorough as many areas needed cleaning. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.

Amazing location and good base for exploring the area
The apartment was an ideal base for exploring the coast. We had a car so it is located to promptly get on the 1 or reach local shops and restaurants etc. Space wise it was plentiful for a weeks stay, and we loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. It truly is the highlight of the property. We appreciated the decor may not be to our style and the property to be dated as per previous reviews, but that this was reflected in the price point. However there are a few small things which would not be much investment which would make the apartment even better; - Pillows - there were 2 thin lumpy pillows for 2 people. I found similar pillows in the wardrobe but no pillow cases so they could not be used. I don't think it would be much to buy 4 decent pillows for the double bed. - There was a random assortment of beach items in the living room cupboard as if left by previous guests. Only 1 lightweight beach chair though. Considering an apartment which can sleep 4, even 2 beach chairs would be much appreciated. The other mats also had holes in them. - TV - the tv in the living room is older and as such channels are pixelated as it cannot display a good picture. We could not watch it in evenings as it hurt our eyes. Again a small investment for much more quality offering. Overall the apartment seemed relatively clean with just a few callout points. We didn't use any crockery or glassware without washing them as most were not clean, there was even lipstick on some glasses. The bath/ shower could have been cleaner, in particular the mat within the shower. Finally the floors, we did not wear shoes in the apartment (as we wouldn't at home but also as per the many notes about this) yet even on day 1 our feet / socks became dirty quickly. I can only assume this had been swept but not mopped. We completely appreciate investment required to modernise a property, but think some small tweaks could make it an even better holiday rental.
