Cottage with both Creek & Ocean Views, steps to the Village

Capitola living at its best! Stay in the heart of the Village with both ocean and creek views. Enjoy walking less than a block to Capitola Beach, dining and shops. This delightful waterfront cottage is just a few steps to Soquel Creek, the "River" and a private waterfront garden escape. Fully furnished, the cottage offers one bedroom and bath plus a Murphy bed in the living room. There is a full kitchen, dining area and deck.

Guests greatly enjoy the water view house windows and viewing deck. Washer/dryer are in the garage.

Guests may park one car in the left side of the garage and one in the center of the carport on the street behind it. Relax by the "River" or stroll to the Village or Beach. Shadowbrook restaurant and many other favorites are nearby. Grocery stores, banks etc. are about 1/2 mile away. Feel free to ask Janet, the property manager for a tour of Capitola.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Thank you for putting all used towels into washer and staring it. Detergent is on the metal shelves in the garage. This saves the cleaners over an hour!
If you have produce or unwrapped / unopened food items that are difficult to pack, please leave for cleaners. Condiments like mustard etc are fine to leave. Thanks
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet hours are 7pm to 7am. Please do not move interior furniture outdoors. We allow 2 days between guests. No pets. Park in center of 3 car carport.
Owners require that manager, Janet Russell meet guests upon arrival to assure best use of parking and home. Please inform Janet of your arrival time.

We have stayed in this charming cottage for several years. We feel this is the best location in Capitola…on the river, under the trestle with views of the ocean and the village. We love this place. There are two parking places which is a big plus, as well as a washer and dryer in the garage. Don’t forget to book the classic taxi for a ride to the famous Shadowbrook restaurant up the hill.

Convenient central location with valuable private reserved & covered parking spot. We enjoyed seeing passersby on the path that bisects all properties along the adjacent stream-backwater near the beach. Bed was comfortable. We stayed at the cottage for one week. It's a quaint cottage right on the river. You can see the beach from the back deck. The cottage was neat and very comfortable for 2 people. It is located in a great spot and it's easy to walk to everything in the Village. It comes with a parking spot which is very nice, especially in the busy summer months. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Wonderful stay in Capitola

Spent 9 nights in the cute cabin. Used the creek area lots and had BBQs. Can’t wait for our next trip to the area. We will be booking for sure again. Great location for shopping and restaurants plus the beach is very close. It was very busy area during the Memorial Day weekend and week following.

Loved the quaint cabin on the river. There was always something happening on the river and we loved sitting our on the patio each night. The birds were so much fun to watch- herons, egrets and of course ducks and gulls.

Another delightful stay!

This is our 4th time staying a week in the charming cottage. It has become our all-time favorite vacation spot. The view, the village, the shops, the railroad trestle and of course dinner at Shadowbrook! The cottage is quaint, with lots of history and the deck is outfitted with wicker rocking chairs , umbrellas and a table. A great place to watch the people walking by on their way to the beach.

We absolutely loved everything about this cottage! It's beautiful inside and out, with plenty of space to relax and chill out, either inside or out on the gorgeous riverside patio. What a perfect little cottage in a prime location. We loved being able to walk to downtown and the beach, sit by the river, BBQ on the deck, relax in the historic living space and, importantly, park 2 cars in the carport! Janet was a great communicator and we had everything we needed. At one point my sister looked around and said, "how did we manage to get this place?!" We've already booked another week next year.

Another amazing stay at The River To Sea Bungalow

So glad we could return and have a nice long stay at our favorite place in Capitola, The River to Sea bungalow is amazing on many levels it’s proximity to the village, the nice Soquel Creekside setting, and the access to numerous world class surf breaks. This year, because of the COVID-19 crisis we relocated there to work remotely and it was a much needed escape and provided a beautiful reprise from The City.

Just was good . But the place even though it’s on the river walk it is in desperate need of up dating . The owner was responsive but the water heater was turned down . Cable was not working and the roof had a leak. We were credited a nights stay for the inconvenience.
