Marcy’s charming little cottage is in the perfect location for us. We love the Twin Lakes Beach area with excellent coffee shop and places to eat within easy walking distance. Communication with Marcy was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Charming cottage near the beach

The cottage used to be the public library and is very charming with pleasant outdoor patios. It is conveniently located and well designed. Everything I needed was in the cottage. Great base for a wonderful beach vacation near the marina.

Adorable Cottage!

This is a great place to stay to experience the beach life in Santa Cruz! Just a few blocks from the ocean, this cozy cottage is a delight. It has great outdoor spaces for reading or chatting with friends. Deke’s is just across the street if you need a filling and delicious sandwich, a soda, or a bottle of wine.

The house is cute, but needs some updating and a good scrubbing. Location is good - just a few blocks from the beach - but it's on a very busy street, so you'll need earplugs if you're sensitive to noise. It's perfect if you're mostly out and about.

Very well decorated and furnished cottage just 3 blocks to ocean. Very well laid out to take advantage of space. Nice outdoor seating, and fenced for the dog. East communication and access. Neighborhood eateries close by and small grocery and deli.

Perfect!!

This adorable house was steps from the beach. It is light and bright inside. The sleeping alcove was perfect for my husband and me. Great washer and dryer that were lifesavers after dusty hikes in National Parks. Love the patios. Owner was responsive to questions in advance but all was perfect so we didn’t need to bother her while there.

Charming Cottage!

Our family had the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage! It was very clean and a great layout for our needs. We loved being able to sit out back on the patio and get fresh air. We were only a few blocks from the beach which was so nice to be able to walk to. The property owner was fabulous and so easy to communicate with. She truly thought of every need a family could have at the cottage. We were so impressed! Our family created so many special memories at this charming cottage in Santa Cruz. We hope to return someday!

Love the state California

It was my first time visiting Santa Cruz California. So much to do. We had a wonderful time here. The beach was so beautiful and sunny out here as well. The weather is just amazing. However the little cottage was really nice and felt like home. Just a few little dilemmas. The host was really nice and made sure we were comfortable. If she couldn’t fix a problem right away she will find a way for us to enjoy our vacation if anything. We will be coming back to Santa Cruz California again. Thank you!!

Close to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here. Outside looked a little weird because of the giant hedges, but that worked out since it is on a fairly busy street. Inside was very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom and bedding included everything we needed. The location was excellent - close enough to everything in Santa Cruz and a short walk to Twin Lakes beach (which is a great beach!). The only minor complaints are the place was a little dirty (no sweeping behind the couch) and the bathroom is a little outdated (tiny shower). But even with that, we would definitely stay here again. Wonderful relaxing beach getaway

Our first visit since covid made me a little anxious about finding the right spot to stay and enjoy a much needed weekend away. Our family was put at ease the moment we walked into Cals cottage! The cottage is freshly painted and extremely clean with new furniture and linens. Every where you look is filled with natural sun light and charm and beautiful decor. The layout makes cottage feel very spacious, plenty of room for our family of four to enjoy our weekend together. The kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful dishes, glasses, cookware and everything you could possibly need to feel at home during your stay. The French doors out to two patio areas makes it easy to want to just hang out at the cottage, and the location being so close to the beach and harbor, and restaurants makes it easy to take a stroll to near by activities with out getting in your car. The owner is beyond accommodating and had wonderful communication with us, was available to answer any questions through out our booking, check in and check out . You can tell she has taken wonderful care of the cottage, keeps the place extremely clean and wants guest to enjoy their time there . I would recommend Cals Cottage to all my family and friends and will definitely be staying again the next time our family has an adventure to beautiful Santa Cruz planned !
