- In the heart of Aptos, you'll find this lovely two-bedroom cottage close by the breathtaking Monterey Bay. As a traveler, you'll be delighted by the thoughtful amenities that await you, including our private back yard with Bocci ball court, hammock and outdoor shower to rinse off after your day at the beach.
- This is a great house for relaxing but if you're looking to party this is not the house for you. The beach house sits in a quiet residential neighborhood and we are committed to keeping it peaceful.
- Bright, light-filled house on a cul-de-sac, just 0.5 miles (~10 minute walk) through a nice residential beach community to Seacliff State Beach.
- 2 bedroom, 1 bath; two queen beds and a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa
- All you need for a day at the beach - beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboard, and beach toys
- High speed WiFi and 55" Smart TV with Roku (Netflix, Pandora, Internet TV, No cable or local channels),
- Full-size washer and dryer; scent-free laundry detergent
- Walk to local Seacliff favorites - Marianne's Ice Cream parlor and Pizza My Heart
- Convenient, five-minute drive to Safeway, coffee shops and Aptos Farmers Market
- Complimentary use of vehicle day use pass for local state parks and beaches
- Due to Santa Cruz County restrictions no events or parties allowed on the property
- Check-in is 4:00pm, and check out is 11:00am. We can accommodate early check in or late check out depending on availability. Please confirm with owner before making plans.
- Cancellation Policy: 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival. NO REFUND if cancelled less than 14 days before arrival. If you are concerned about cancelling due to Covid or other emergencies, please buy travel insurance. We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.

Our stay was exceptional! This home is well suited for families, even those with young children. Our kiddos had a blast running around the backyard. The house itself was clean and cozy. The host has everything you need for a fun day at the beach (7-10 minute walk). Aptos is an absolute delight. We cannot wait to come back!

Perfect family getaway beach house

This was the perfect house for our little getaway trip with our family of 5. We had all the amenities we needed, very clean, close to the beach, and lots of restaurants/grocery stores nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Spot

Great location and clean property was great for our trip to the area. We stayed there to take advantage of Henry Cowell State Park, Calla Lilly Valley (in season), dinner at Shadow Brook with transportation via a 65 checker cab and an afternoon strolling Carmel by the Sea. The property was clean, outdoor area was great and would stay agin (we frequent the area).

Really nice place

Loved the outdoor shower, the guest book, how nice and clean it was, the toys for the kids, etc.We went to a friend's wedding so didn't have time to bike around and explore the beach, but the neighborhood is great.

Beautiful Aptos beach house!

Cook’s house was perfect for our family getaway! Beautiful, clean, and just a short distance away from Seacliff Beach. The outdoor space was really special, and the house had a lot of thoughtful touches.

Mom's visit to CA

Took my mom out to CA to visit my brother. He hasnt been so fortunate and she is 85, but she wanted to see him, as it's been a while. The house was a perfect setting to sit around and share memories, as well as close proximity to the beach and icecream!

Cozy Retreat

I brought my son from Florida to visit my daughter who lives in Santa Rosa, The home was the perfect setting for the three of us. It had everything we needed. Beautiful outdoor patios, light and bright. Quiet street in walking distance to beach and restaurants. I highly recommend it for any age group wanting a getaway.

Family Get Away

This was a great spot to have our first vacation as a family of 5. We have small children and wanted to have somewhere close to the beach but still in a quiet neighborhood. This spot was great. They loved the backyard when we weren't at the beach, especially the hammock. All the amenities were great and while it was close to everything, the neighborhood was quiet and lots of families enjoying the nice weather.

Delightful stay in Aptos

Had a little get away with the family. The house was just the right size for our fam of 4. Backyard was the highlight for sure! We loved the bocce ball court and hammock. Excellent area to have fun or just relax with morning coffee and a book. Easy to get to restaurants and of course, Marianne’s ice cream :)

Perfect Family Beach House

We loved our stay here! The cottage is cozy and inviting, perfect for spending time with family and friends. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the hammock, and loved riding the bikes to the beach every evening to catch the sunset. In a perfect location and well stocked with everything you need for a family getaway including comfortable beds, an awesome kitchen, outdoor games and sports equipment, and a fireplace for chilly, rainy days. We hope to come back!

We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the walkable proximity (about 1/2 mile) to the beach, convenience store and ice cream shop, as well as a very short drive to Capitola and Aptos for dining and hanging out. We also drove just a few miles and took a beautiful hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks state park. The house itself was very clean, had everything we needed and wanted. The yard is lovely and and I made good use of the hammock each night. There are a bunch of nice touches, like a couple of bikes, bocce ball in the back yard and a car pass for the State Parks.

Best Beach House Ever!

The house was spotless. Beds are super comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Everything you could imagine needing was there. The owner is very responsive and was wonderful to my mom and me on our girls trip vacation. We will definitely be back. Thanks Colm for everything!!

cozy cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is really nice and clean and has everything you need. Lots of outdoor activity equipment such as bocce balls, soccer ball, football, basket ball... We were able to play bocce ball when there was a break in the rain. Perfect location for a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium - only 45 minutes away, Santa Cruz, Tide Pools and lots more. Spring get-away

This was a first time visit to Santa Cruz for a friend and her family from Las Vegas. The house was perfectly located, easy to find, nestled in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The host was very responsive. The guest book was full of helpful information about the area, including a street map for a 10 minute walk to the beach. You don't have to wander far for groceries or a delicious ice cream treat. The house features two relaxing patios. The outdoor lighting for the front patio was enchanting at night.

We fell in love with this classic beach house with its light-filled rooms and open floor plan. The neighborhood and the neighbors are fantastic, and it's just a short walk to one of the best beaches on the north coast. We love spending our weekends relaxing by the ocean with friends and family and are excited to open our home to guests who share our passion for beach life.
