Wasatch Chalet

Spacious 5 bed, 3 bath, 2600 sf condo on the second floor in private duplex ski house located 1 mile south from entrance to Little Cottonwoods Canyon, in a very quiet neighborhood. 7 miles to Snowbird/Alta 12 miles to Solitude/Brighton.
Fully equipped kitchen and dinning area can easily accommodate 12 people. Laundry room and open entertainment area with pool table and a piano are located on the first floor of the house,

Family Reunion Trip

8 people stayed comfortably - very well located for daytime recreation and evening picnics. Extended family is about half local & we rented 2 great East Bench houses, including this one.

Great location for skiing Alta and Brighton

The bedrooms were nice and large. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Everything was great and the 8 of us had a great time. Close to both canyons for skiing.

Spectacular in Sandy

We could not be more enthusiastic about the visit -- wonderfully appointed, everything you need to bake, the views are spectacular and the historical Steinway piano through Sweden to NY to Sandy is amazing. Chris was very helpful and generous.

Very large private chalet. Kitchen and living room are huge and fantastic. The bedrooms and bathrooms need some work but it worked for us. The owners were the best. I tried to book it again for a month but it wasn't available..

Great House in an Awesome Location

This house was amazing, and the location was perfect for accessing skiing in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Check-in was smooth, and the house was clean and well-equipped. The only feedback I would give to the host would be to add checkout instructions within the home and to stick to them. The listing said to check out at 11 am, but the host did come and tell us the night before we left that he needed us out by 10 am. It was not a huge issue, but we had a cleaner entering the property at 9:40 to start the turnover process so we felt pretty rushed. Regardless, the house was amazing, and I would visit again in a heartbeat.

Love this property

Beautiful home, stunning sunset views, convenient proximity to skiing (Snowbird-Alta). Owner communicated prior to our visit but made it clear that future communication should go through his manager. The manager was to meet us and check us in, provide keys, and answer questions. But instead the owner was there and checked us in. But information was lacking and keys were incomplete, which was supposed to be addressed by the manager, whom we never saw or heard from. The listing indicated that we would have the entire property, but for much of our stay, the owner and other friends were in the lower level and using the rec room, making noise at late hours and effectively making it uncomfortable for us to use the rec room ourselves. That said, the upstairs quarters, including kitchen, dining, living room, and bedrooms, was quite comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful place to stay. Although guest service could have been better we loved the location and would consider staying here again.

The house and amenities were excellent and as advertised. There was plenty of space for our family for a week of skiing and relaxing. We will definitely plan to stay here again for future trips to the area.

Great location, very nice and quiet surroundings, nearest to the entry of the State Park! Amazing house with fully equipped kitchen, like we’ve never seen. We would definitely recommend this place!

Spacious, well-equipped, beautiful view

Beautiful place with plenty of space, close to ski hills and hiking. Plenty of dishes and cookware, and it's all in great shape. The only minor surprises were extra fee for hot tub chemical change and no cable TV connection, but those didn't bother us.

Alta Snowbird Ski Trip 2022

Loved staying at this beautiful house. Super convenient access to the SLC ski resorts. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. Even had boot dryer and ski rack in the garage. Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Nice stay - great views!

Lovely place and in a very nice neighborhood, great location for skiing. Large enough for 10 people which was awesome to have the whole family under one roof. The description in VRBO was not clear in that there could be multiple rentals at a time, however, and there were a few minor issues like older towels, no shampoo in the bathrooms, the toilet handle was broken, etc. Chris, the caretaker, was awesome and super friendly.

Ski trip

Overall we had a great experience. Nice open common space with kitchen, living room for us to gather. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for us to have our individual space. We were greeted by Chris, the care taker upon arrival who was able to show us around. The only complaint we had was that it was not clear to us that this was a home that was also being rented out to others. Our space was shared in regards to laundry room, pool table, and grill use. This was ultimately not an issue for our stay but that would have been nice to know when booking, especially given Covid. Otherwise great location to mountains and nice view from property

We are a family of skiers, first visited Utah in 2000 and fell in love with this beautiful state. We ski in the winter, we go on hikes in the summer. So many ways to make new memories every time we visit!
This is our home away from home, that we love and enjoy year after year.
